This store is a great concept for parents with teens and tweens. However I believe that their buying practices are a little shady! I have observed the employess for several years and what I have noticed is that customers that come in wiith large quanties of clothing with tags seem to be the ones that walk out with the CASH! These customers claim that they are cleaning out their closets!!! Hmmm...seems to me more like cleaning out retail stores. (Yes) I have observed teens and even older females bring in clothes in large trash bags....Almost everything....yes...everything would be accepted! On the other hand, I have observed individuals pull up in nice cars and almost look to be somewhat t embarrassed to be there in the first place; bring in their merchandise only to have just a few items selected. I know this is their perogative....but....I don't know about this one folks! Anyways....the ones that like them....KEEP SHOPPING THERE! But for those of us who like a little courtesy along with our exchange of cash from one hand to another...you might try ""Googling"" second hand stores, consignment shops around the metro. There are some super nice ones out there! I found one just north of the Barrett Pkwy. Platos!! Me and my girl friends just make a day of it and drive the 45 min. drive to a little town called Calhoun. It is just off Interstate 75 between Cartersville and Dalton. Woww at the finds. The last trip that we made we found out that they have 2 stores. Their big store I'm told is over 10,000 sq. ft. They have the cutest clothes, some new, and some used...all in great shape....and get this....most sold for under two dollars Cute jeans, tops and capri's. I asked...how in the world do ya'll do it......they replied ""we never buy""! Everyone that has something to GIVE...DONATES TO US! In turn....we give back by selling at LOW PRICES..to help out people who need it the most. We were so impressed that we plan on telling all of our friends and taking a passenger van on the weekend to shop there. They are lovely people and always greet the customers with a smile and a hello....and THANKS FOR SHOPPING WITH US! So to all of you that are reading this I will tell you there is an alternative to Platos Closet and it is WHITTLES & CO. THRIFT STORE and their 2nd location you actually will get to first when you get off the interstate is called ""YesWeCan Thriftstore just after the DQ. They were having a sidewalk sale and all the clothes were just $l.00 . ""I racked up...lol"". ....Save some fore me!!!!
Pros: an option for name brands for less
