Decent Selection 4/2/2008

Plato's closet has a decent selection. You can find some trendy items for decent prices. The reason I gave it 3 stars was the consignment policy. I bought a whole bag of clothes up there, many of which still had the tag, and I got less than $15.00! I definitely would not suggest taking your items up there unless you just want to get rid of them. If that is the case, you will be better off taking it to the goodwill and getting the tax write-off. My experience at Plato's on Barrett Pkwy was absolutely awful. When they say they only accept name brand, trendy clothing what they must mean is that they want out-of-date, trashy, cheap clothes. Goodwill has better taste and customer service than Plato's ever will. I would rather give my clothes away than ever waste my time or energy going to Plato's. I would suggest visiting this store to ANYONE. It has amazing, low prices and great, in-style clothes. Plato's Closet may sound too good to be true- but it is! Pros: inexpensive, welcoming, unique clothes Cons: stuff goes fast more

  • We're not your typical secondhand clothing store. The gently used clothing and accessories that we buy are: top-name brands, cool, hip, trendy, clean and in good condition. Typically we buy items that have been in the retail stores within the past 12 to 18 months and are current teen and young adult styles still seen in the mall.
