Disappointed... 3/5/2013

After having my clothes denied two years ago I thought I'd try again today. I only had three pair of jeans, one brand new w/tags thats read 24.99. I knew they wouldn't give me that much, I ASSUMED @ least 10.00! They only gave 3.00 for both! Im glad I only traveled 6.1 miles with todays gas prices. more

i was very disappointed in this place i took a big bag of all name brand clothes like aero, a&f , a&e and old navy and a couple other big name brands in to sell to them, for one the girl who looked thru my clothes was rude it took her maybe 15 min to look thru my big black trash bag of clothes (which i took great care of) after that wait they boutght maybe 3 things and gave 10 or 15 for them! she tried to say i had holes and stains on the clothes there might have been on or 2 or 3 items but i took great care and still take great care of my clothes so they arent stained and torn also while i looked around i saw that they did sell jeans with holes in them and a couple shirts that were not really clean look like a couple had stains on them! i will never go there again because they buy very few of your clothes and give u very little money for your clothes but then turn around and try to sell your clothes for a high price! if i could id boycott the place! will never go there again! dont go! more

Shop here if you want to get ripped off 5/7/2008

I was very disappointed with the selection at Plato's. They take the worst trends of every year from the Junior's department and sell them at nearly the same or just-below new prices. Honestly, you'd be better off waiting until the end of season sales at department and mall stores. more

Great deals on clothes 11/29/2005

Plato's closet is at 71st and Garnett on the Northeast corner of the street. It is in by Merritt's Bakery. This is a teen resale shop. It is not consignment, because if you take clothes in, they buy them from you outright. They are extremely picky about the clothes that they buy. Which is great for the buyer, but not so much for the seller. Their prices are very reasonable. If you have teens, I would give it a try. more

Awesome Clothing Re-Seller 8/22/2005

Plato's Closet is at the corner of 71st/Garnett next to Drug Warehouse. this is a teen clothing re-sale store.I barely even noticed it there, but when I went inside I was really impressed. Most clothing re-sale stores are a little ... um.. garage-sale-ish.... but this one is very neat, clean, and everything is organized. If you are buying -They have things sorted by size, item, and even colors! It's easy to find what you are looking for. They also must be picky about what clothes they accept, because alot of things look close to new. The prices are OK, some name brand stuff is more pricey. If you are selling - Instead of consigning your clothes and having to wait for a check, they pay cash on the spot. They pay a decent amount if the clothes are in good condition. I think the sizes they take are girls 12-16 and all juniors sizes. They may even take petite women's, but it is geared toward teen sizes. more
