This company likes to commit consumer fraud. They issued a citation to me for not having displayed a parking sticker visibly in the windshield of my car when I parked at their parking lot located at 25th street and Guadalupe in Austin, TX on September 23, 2009. The sticker was visible and I was fined. All the other vehicles around mine had their stickers visible in their windshielsds so I was shocked that I got a ticket and no one else did. The reason I say they committed fraud is due to the fact that the time and date stamped on the parking sticker was exactly the same aa the time and date the ticket was issued. So, at 12:07 p.m. on 9/23/09, a parking sticker printed from the machine and at 12:07 p.m. on 9/23/09, I was also issued a ticket which, to me, meant that I didn't pay to park there. The company refused my dispute and the BBB cannot do anything about it because the businesss is not accredited. Also, the toll free customer service number on the ticket is for their Canada office! Does that make any sense? I called it and retrieved the number for the Dallas office since the ticket was issued in Texas. They laughed and said they couldn't do anything about it. Well, I filed a complaint with the BBB and mailed correspondence of my dispute to Platinum Parking LLC, and then my claim was denied. And they expect me not to be upset???? If anyone else sees this, please comment and let me know if you have had problems. It's a sad shame that companies like this one are allowed to exist and commit consumer fraud and expect the consumer to be ok with it.
