Plaster Cottage

We've been twice and enjoyed it both times. The only (minor) complaint I have is the length of time it takes to get the finished pieces back. I waited about a month before everything was glazed and fired. I think this is a sign of the growing business, which is good, but perhaps the owner needs to hire more help to get the pieces finalized quicker. Still, this is a minor quibble and we will definitely be back! more

Friday night kids night is so awesome. Even though you can leave your older children there to enjoy pizza, painting and a movie, I like to go and socialize with other Clermont families. My three year old daughter loves the independence of getting to pick her own pieces to paint, which colors, her own apron and then she gets to add sparkle. Its a family environment. I always feel welcomed and enjoy talking to everyone. more

I home school my son and we go there at least 3 times a week. As well as being a great place for art and creativity Maryanne also provides a safe and welcoming place for my son to do his lessons. We even bring a lunch . Anyone who homes schools knows the importance of being able to have places to go where the children can do art as well as education. I highly recommend it. more

I often take my grandkids (Krista 9 and Kyle 7) to the Plaster Cottage for a special day out. The owner is friendly and helpful. The prices of the ceramics are very reasonable, with paint and supplies included. When choosing to do a plaster item you can finish and take the treasure home the same day. If you do ceramics and want a wonderful, glossy glazed finish, you come back and pick it up later and the firing is included in the base price of the piece. Or you can choose to make a mosiac with everything included in the price of the base piece you choose. You can even work on scrapbook pages, with a die cut machine available for your use. A great value with fun for kids and adults alike. Super atmosphere and a great way to spend time with your family. more

My three year old and I have visited Plaster Cottage and had a fun time. We have a choice of ceramics or plaster to paint on. One would have to be glazed and picked up at a later date and the other can be taken home the same day. The cost was reasonable and there were lots of things to choose from. Plaster cottage also has scrapbooking items for sale as well as mosiac crafts to do. more
