Plantation is the only vet i will ever take my children to. My pup is just shy of 4 months old, and he is mischievous. He got into our weed killer and I nearly had a heart attack. I called to Plantation, and in hysterics explained to Katie (I think that was her name, I was literally freaking out so bad I may have gotten that wrong) what was going on. They had never seen Axel, didn't even know who I was, but snapped into action telling me what to do. Not only was she calm, she was caring and she was empathetic with my concerns. Katie told me exactly what to do, and made me promise to call back tomorrow with an update. I'm so grateful for them, they've always been eager to help and are a staple in our lives. I can't thank you enough, we will never take our children anywhere else! more

I want to share my family's extreme satisfaction with the excellent care that the doctors and staff of Plantation Animal Clinic (PAC) have provided for our "boys" over many years. Our "boys" are always two male Siamese cats. When I moved to Louisville eight years ago, Dr. Bond was recommended to me to provide veterinary care for Brooks and Taylor, ages 12 and 11. Four years later, Taylor became incurably ill and Dr. Bond came to my home to euthanize him. We cried together. Two years later, she saw Brooks, my husband and me on an emergency basis first thing in the morning after we found Brooks suffering terribly, and we made the same very difficult decision. Again, I held my boy as he took his final breaths and Dr. Bond, my husband and I cried together. We were then without a pair of Siamese cats for the first time in my adult life...until last summer. We finally were ready to open our hearts and home again to the joy a pair of kittens. Siblings Sky and Blue have just celebrated more

They have been such fun and given so much love -- and they are very healthy. They have been to PAC for all the kitten shots, neutering and declawing. The love and care that the staff, Dr. B and Dr. K have provided for this new pair of boys means everything to me. The quality of care for our animal family is unsurpassed by any veterinary practice that I've used over more than 40 years. Whether caring for my previous "old men" or my current "boy babies," Dr. Bond has provided the excellent knowledge, expertise and affection that I want for my loved ones. No wonder she was voted the #1 veterinarian in metro Louisville by the readers of the Leo Weekly! Obviously, I'm not the only one who knows how great she and her staff really are! more

We've been satisfied with Plantation until recently. My 17-year-old cat got sick, and we were quoted a price over the phone of $200 for an exam, x-ray, and bloodwork. When the doctor said the cat needed an x-ray and bloodwork, we said fine. Then we were charged $450, and all they could tell us was "she's old." They NEVER discussed price with us -- and having gotten a quote, we didn't know we needed to ask about it -- and when I tried to negotiate with them after the fact, I was told that it was our fault for not asking. Who in their right mind would spend half a grand on a 17-year-old cat? And what kind of vet thinks it's okay to charge that kind of money without warning their patient first? After years of good experiences, they've ensured that we will NEVER return. more

Going for over 30 years 6/3/2009

My parents have been taking their dogs to Plantation Animal Clinic since before I was born, and I'm almost 26 years old. They have helped me through having to put my first dog to sleep and inspired me to pursue this field further. I was working as a tech at another clinic in town, but my family continued to take their pets there b/c they trust the Drs there. We all have bad days and I think who ever the anonymous person is that wrote the negative review maybe took what was said wrong in a stressful situation. I recommend this clinic to everyone. Pros: knowledgeable, helpful staff and Drs more

Wonderful doctors and the staff are very helpful 8/20/2008

I love Plantation Animal Clinic, the doctors are great as well as the staff. Dr. Bond, Dr. Wellnitz, and Dr Young are not just buisness, they take there time to know me as a owner and truly care for all my 3 animals. I have been going to Plantation Animal Clinic for 10 years. I really respect the way they explain the treatments that my animal will need, and the way I can understand it. The staff has been trained well, I can get my answers sometimes just by talking with the techs, also if they can not answer my question, they will go ask a doctor while I am waiting on the phone. I really love that the doctors return phone calls in a timely matter. One of the most things I like about Plantation Animal Clinic is I don't have to wait long to see a doctor, also If they have an emergency they call to see if I would like to reschedule for later that day, so I would not have to wait. I would definetly recommend this clinic to anyone. more

low grade 11/27/2005

I was satisfied with my service at this place until the staff and vets rudely accused me of not loving and caring for my pets. I equate that with being told I'm not a good mother, and in my book that's the lowest of lows. He apparently thinks belittling customers over the phone is good business practice. They treated my pets (my babies) fine, but apparently they care little for expanding that decency to owners. The lack of respect and attitude received was more than enough for me to take my business elsewhere. Beware of very low grade customer service here. more
