Personally I had mixed experience with this childcare facility. But Overall after my experience was said and done I would never suggest anyone taking their child there, and I would never send my son there.. I worked in this facility for four months. At the time my son was a new born, and he attended the facility as well. My nephew attended, as well as my neighbors children. Initially I loved it, my sons head teacher was wonderful, and I seemed to get along with everyone. Once I settled in I noticed many things that put up red flags. Rooms being out of ratio, meaning to many kids for the amount of teachers in the rooms. Not to many teachers followed state rules. Didn't seem that I was getting the help I needed with the children in my room. My nephew came to me upset almost every day he was there. I would randomly check on him on my break, the teacher in his room basically ignored him, and didn't seem to very much care for his feelings at all.. His mother is a single mom, and he is a bit sensitive. The breaking point was seeing a teacher (who was not the lead teacher, she was the assistant) walk away from my son while he was on the changing table. Initially I flipped out, but he is an infant couldn't roll so I didn't say anything it was just a few feet to the trash can. But I did mention it to my boss. Just a few days later, I saw her do it again, but this time she walked to the other side of the room. That was it for me... The owner is wonderful, very nice woman.. But the facility is run poorly according to state regulations, and they need to be stricter on the people they hire more

Planet Child Care is an awesome child care facility. My children have attended Planet for years! They have a curriculum for pre-school and my child has learned so much! The school-age program is great. They go on field trips during the summer and my children would not want to go anywhere else. Pros: Caring, experienced staff, family friendly more

I went and toured the facility and was shocked by what I saw. As a parent I would never send my child to planet child care. I saw a few different teachers yelling at children, disiplin is okay but they were almost be-littleing the children. I saw many unhappy children, children fighting, pushing, yelling, I realize kids are not perfect but they had no control over the class rooms, I would never want my child being around that, I feel they would pick up horrible habits and I saw a handful or teachers texting on cell phones, not paying attention to the children at all. I saw very little child teacher interaction and the lady who gave me my tour, was very rude, I felt as if she was showing me everything so fast and trying to get me back out the door right away, I felt as either they didn't care about my business or they knew the staff and children are not great so they were imbarassed by showing it, also they are supposed to be the one giving me information and I felt like they had no idea what they were talking about! After my visit I talked the place over to a few other people and everyone I talked to said the personal experience they had with planet child care was awful! As a mother, please take my advice and do not send your children here!!! Cons: Rude staff, teacher not paying attention, kids fighting, ect more

I JUST WANTED TO LET EVERYONE KNOW I HAVE LEFT A DIFF CHILD CARE CENTER OFF TELEGRAPH RD AND WENT TO PLANET CHILD CARE ABOUT A YEAR A GO AND I LOVE IT AND SO DOES MY CHILD. THE STAFF IS GREAT!!!!! THEY DO MANY THINGS THAT ARE FAMILY FUN SUCH AS FALL AND SPRING FESTIVALS, BREAKFAST WITH SANTA, A CHRISTMAS PROGRAM AND MANY OTHER THINGS. THEY ALSO TRULY HAVE A GREAT PRESCHOOL PROGRAM UNLIKE OTHER CENTERS IN THE AREA. I CANT GO ANYWHERE WITH OUT TELLING PEOPLE HOW MUCH I LIKE THERE. THE BEST CENTER IN OAKVILLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have heard mixed things regarding Planet Child Care. I had an opportunity to tour the school, and I tell you, the reviews on this board are VERY questionable. The owner and director were VERY unfriendly, and actually told me to come back, as they were very busy. From what I was able to see, the teachers were not interacting with the children, and no one seemed happy. Many of the class decorations were torn, tattered, or inappropriate (a ""Cheetah Girls"" poster and ""WWF Wrestling"" poster hanging in a 3 year room). more

Planet Child Care is an outstanding facility. The owners create a caring environment that is safe and secure. Both my boys attended Planet Child Care from the time they were small. They are school aged now and really enjoy the variety of activities and field trips afforded to them by the center. The center is clean and well maintained and I am very happy with the service I receive. Unlike some of the competition on Telegraph road - Planet Child Care's prices do not break the bank either. I couldn't be happier! Pros: Great school age program and caring teachers.... Cons: I just wish it was bigger.... more

My children love Planet, I cant even get them to go home in the evening. The staff is all very friendly and in 7 years I have never had any complaints. Pros: very affordable, cameras in every room, happy children more
