I was so suprised to see that Plainfield Lumber was open on Sundays! I got a great deal on Lumber today! The staff was very welcoming and very helpful. Checkout was easy and fast. Very friendly cashier. I would highly recommend this store to anyone ! more

Skip the big box store, this place has everything you need with people working that actually know what they're talking about. I've had nothing but great success with them and I recommend them to all my friends and family. more

terrible small motor service 7/13/2009

I took my snowblower there and it took 6 WEEKS to get it back and it broke the 2nd time I used it..I took it to Rylees and they showed me that those idiots on Plainfield forced the part on and had sheered the part..at plainfield the old guy and the young guy in the shop were in some kind of power struggle blaming each other..I havent been back since. Too bad since the store itself was always great and the staff super..but that shop in the back is a freaken joke Cons: terrible service and expensive more

Terrible customer service! 7/10/2009

I was promised that my lawn mower would be repaired in 7 days. It took 3 weeks. When I complained the owner told me tough nuts. I will never go back, and I will tell everyone I know to never do business at Plainfield Lumber & Hardware. Cons: Awful customer service more
