Had pads changed and rotors resurfaced recently. The first day it rained, the pads on one side rusted over and the breaks started squeaking. So first chance I had to get over to the shop, of course, the breaks didn't squeak for them. They sprayed metallic spray paint over the rusty pad (only on the side immediately visible) and said if they still squeak later to come back only when they're squeaking. So later the breaks kept squeaking but I couldn't make it back before driving the vehicle out of state.
After having it looked at by another mechanic they removed the pad and showed that it was worn down and not of decent quality and that that particular pad should not have been put on. After replacing the pad the squeaking stopped.
Frustrating and disappointed that PJW may have used inferior parts or parts that were of poor quality. I'm sure they would have replaced the pads had I sufficiently proved their problems, just never worked out that way.
