Pizza Palace Of Scott

I live in Houston, however I travel a lot. I love the Pizza Palace in Scott because of it's thin crust pizza. I don't find that just anywhere. I found the place nice and the people friendly and the food was good. I will definitely go back and recommend it for great family dining. They have a great variety of good food, not just pizza. Love their fried catfish too! Keep up the good work! more

The Only reason this place has one star is because that's the lowest we are allowed to put. I went eat there against my better judgement over the weekend. I will simply say, ""WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!"" The waitress was a temp helper that would go every few months to lend a hand. Not sure why they needed her considering the restaurant was Far from being full and with the reputation this place has, it's a complete surprise they are still open. THE REDECORATING ON THE OUTSIDE DID NOT HELP BOOST SALES. Not only were we told there was only TWO knives in the whole restaurant, we were informed the two that remained were taken out of the trash can. Secondly, they charge for the little butters you get with crackers. Yes you read that correctly. Third, never have I been to place where the menu says 12 wings for a Large order and a person orders a large, receives 10 wings, and will be charged for the 2 extra. The ""owners' explanation, prices are subject to change. Made no sense considering the menu did not say QUANTITY is subject to change. The appetizer came out with the pizza and it was cheap bread, wal mart cheese, and the pepperoni was less than desirable. The cashier was RUDE and at the end of the visit, it was agreed that Pizza Palace is a PIZZA DUMP. Too bad they can't dish the restaurant out of the trash can. more

This place doesn't deserve it's name! I brought a child in and ordered a cheese pizza and cheesesticks for her. She left hungry because the pizza was terrible! It had almost no sauce, bad cheese and a layer of grease on top. We used four napkins trying to degrease and tried dipping it in the marinara sauce and it was still terrible!! The waitress was rude and got very defensive when I addressed the issue. Then told me they wouldn't take it off the ticket!!! I had to pay for a pizza that was thrown in the trash!! Horrible experience all around. more

Pizza Palace has taken a serious turn for the worst in the last 5 years!! On a recent trip with friends, which was against my better judgement in the first place because of the bad experiences I've had before but my friends wanted to go there, I made the decision that I would NEVER return!! I ordered the fried catfish and it was served to me raw (still pink and rubbery) so I sent it back. The waitress brought me back the same fish that I had sent back. They had throw it back in the oil, they had even RECOOKED THE PIECE that I BIT OFF OF AND one of the other pieces had a fried mosquito on it!! I was disgusted! I then told the waitress to take it back and that I didn't want it. When we went to the register to check out I told the girl that I was not paying for the fish that I did not eat because I had to sent it back twice and ended up not eating because I was appalled at the fact that they threw the piece of fish that I took a bite of back into the oil! She called for the ""manager"", who is the owner's wife, and when she came to the counter she said ""I'll have to speak to the owner"". I said ""Okay but it doesn't matter who you talk to I'm not paying for what I didn't eat!"" She came back after a good 5 minutes and never even apologized, she said ""we'll take it off but this is the first time in 5 years"" I then told her the reason I sent it back both times and she said ""We don't cook a whole new plate when someone sends something back"" (but u just said this was the first time in 5 years!!) I said ""So you RECOOK FOOD PEOPLE BITE OFF OF!?!?"" I never actually got an answer to that question, I guess it was then she realized she was wrong & didn't want to admit it! This started an argument between her, my friends and myself and I told her to just ring up what we had eaten and we'd be leaving. She said ""I'd suggest you chose somewhere else to eat"" to which my friends and I responded ""oh, don't worry we've already decided we will not be coming back!"" Then she asked if it was all together or if we were paying separately. When we said separate, she mumbled under her breath ""Huh, can't even afford to pick up the whole tab."" Needless to say I will NOT be returning there, ever and would not recommend it to anyone!!! Pros: Hamburgers are okay Cons: Owners are very rude! more
