This is really a Morristown institution and it's been one of my favorite hang outs since high school. (Suffice it to say, that covers a few years.) I rarely go for supper, but I'm a very frequent lunch guest. The buffet is great and it's a fairly large place, so you can get in and out very easily on your lunch hour.
My favorite thing? The sweet tea. You can't eat there without having it. It's delicious. Plus, the waitresses are generous and give you huge glasses. You never run out. The pizza buffet has a big overhang, so I feel it's a little more germ-proof that most. Often, I go there and don't even get the pizza, even though it's included in the price. I love the salad bar. It's not a huge, 40 item bar or anything. It has the essentials for most salads with a few extras, great dressings and always-fresh ingredients. Choose the Stromboli, which is very popular among my fellow lunch mates, or go with my personal favorite, the banana pudding. In addition to pizza, you'll find soup and spaghetti on the bar, too.
The restaurant has a rustic feel, which leaves many booths and tables located inside fake walls. It gives a little extra privacy. Kids are very welcome at this restaurant and are always treated with balloons.
Even though this is a franchise, it's great to find good food and service that matches any restaurant in the area. I've also eaten at the Pizza Inns in Jefferson City and in Tazewell and both are just as good.
I think the lunch buffet is about $7-8. Maybe that's a little high for Morristown, but it includes the tea!
