Pirate Tattoos

All I knew was that I want to have a half sleeve tattoo with a koi fish and flowers. So I went price shopping in South Beach to find a tattoo shop and artist what I can trust and feel comfortable with. After I went already to a few other tattoo shops I walked into pirate tattoo. Jenny and Emerson were helping me out to get some more ideas for my design. We looked through some books and searched the internet together. The great part is, I didn't even had to make an appointment! I only had to wait 30 min while Jenny made my drawing and got ready for me. Now I got nervous :)... am scared if needles..... And before she even could start, I was a huge pain in the bud lol.. But Jenny was super patient and calmed me down.... When she did the first few lines I had to admit that it wasn't bad at all..... We took a little break so I can go and get some snack and we finished my tattoo the same day! The tattoo came out gorgeous! The colors are so bright! I LOVE my tattoo! Thank you so much! I will recommend this place to all my friends and family! more

I recently had a quarter life crisis (i turned 30) and so decided to get a tattoo. I had been to Pirate before to get my tragus pierced and then again to get another bit of my ear pierced and booked my tattoo. The place is really clean and the professional. The guy who does the piercings is really nice and makes you feel very at ease. The prices are pretty reasonable too. On Saturday i went to get my tattoo. The girl that did it was very patient and friendly. She drew a couple of designs for me until i was happy then he talked me through everything so i felt relaxed. After it was done she was full of praise for how i handled it which was very sweet. Overall, i would only ever go here to get any piercings/tattoos and totally recommend them :) more

I got tattooed a week ago by Jenny and I must say that I'm more than satisfied by the result, she did an amazing job and didn't loose her patience though I was really niggling ! Thumbs up!!!! more

I was for my last weekend trip in Miami Beach and got a small tinny koi fish on top of my hand from jenny @ pirate tattoo. It looks awesome! Thank you so much. Every other tattoo shop in this neighborhood wasn't able to do a koi fish that small. And you rocked it! I definitely will get another tattoo from you. Thanks again more

Just got my very first tattoo...and, in Miami Beach, FL. Walked around to different places but when I and my friend (yes, she got a tattoo, too) got to Pirate Tattoo...we were both treated very well. We asked loads of questions...well, I did, and got responses to each one. I chose to get a pink cancer ribbon with a modified yellow rose in the middle. Some would think ... that's not a big deal ... but , to me, it is since it is in memory of my mom who lost her battle with breast cancer in 2001. I was by her side up until that very last moment...it was a hard time for me but I wouldn't have missed one single minute. Since I think of mom each and every day, I wanted something as a reminder of our time together before and during her illness. For me...this tattoo is a reminder of my MOM and all other women...strong, courageous, and brave women out there who have survived breast cancer, who have lost their lives to it ... and for the loved ones (like me) left behind. Jenny (@Pirate Tattos) ... was my artist and she was fantastic. Thank you, Jenny, for giving me exactly what I wanted. I love it!!! And, I hope to come back to Miami Beach again one day ... I hope to find you still there and doing wonderful work. more

I didn't think I would get any attention here in south beach after bring in about 10 different studios. Then I stopped in Pirate Tattoo across the street from Miami INK (I know, bad word, sorry!). I was told that everyone here would rob me, treat me like crap, and basically not want to tell me the correct time if I asked, and in part, MOST of the shops in south beach are just like that. I walked in tonight and talked to a cool cat named Mickey (didn't get the last name), but he was cool. He was interested in what I had to say, and actually stopped what he was doing to talk to me. The guy has experience and it shows. He basically talked me out of what I wanted... but for the right reasons! I didn't realize the trouble with hand tattoos and he was full of reasons to not do the tattoo. At first I was like ""F*&% this guy!"", but he actually made sense."" I am 25 years old, and have a good job, but why put a tattoo on my hand for personal reasons when I am going to be judged... blah blah blah...."". I guess he was right... ANYWAY.... I let him talk me into doing the tattoo on my hip. The shop is just as clean AND dirty as the last place I went in on the beach, so I wasn't really concerned about that. I was concerned about his style and ability to actually DO that tattoo right (a realistic lily). He showed me some of his work, and it looked good, so F it, ya know? :::time passes::: Why didn't my tattoo hurt? All my other ones did! Right away I am happy... about half way through he says ""SMOKE BREAK"", and gets up. I don't smoke. blah.... When he comes back to finish, I was still sitting there thinking, ""uhm, ok, your cute, but can we finish?!"" and after about 30 more minutes it's done. My friend is with me and is freakin out the whole time saying ""That thing looks clean!"", and ""This guy is good!"", but I am not impressed by comments. When I looked in the mirror though... ""holy SHI*!"" The tattoo is amazing, and Mr. Mickey is already cleaning up behind himself.... I have to say that I have 14 tattoos now. I have been tattooed in 3 countries. Mickey is by FAR the best tattoo artist I have had work on me, and FOR SURE the most down to earth. It was so easy to work with him, and I would 100% recommend him and his shop to ANYONE coming to Miami. Screw the rest. Believe what you hear. But in the end... take your time to look around and get what you deserve. 120% happy. Thank you Pirate Tattoo! more
