My grandmother broke her hip a year ago and dementia quickly set in. With the rapid declination of her condition, Sam and Elena were quick to offer a bed to her, a home to her, an extended family to all of us. They were gently, nurturing, attentive to her needs - even to the point when she would not eat the home-cooked foods and craved a hamburger, Sam would get it if it meant her eating something. My grandmother's nails were always freshly painted, her hair nicely combed, at least as long as she allowed the grooming to continue. Even when she forgot who everyone was, Sam, Elena and the rest of the staff, showed nothing less than a smile and a gentle hand and voice. And after 8 months in their home, she peacefully passed, quietly, her body tired, her soul loved.\r

It was not just my grandmother that Sam and Elena has touched with their kindness. I have seen, firsthand, how they interact with their other patients. It is a respectful, gentle, kind assistance that I would hope for my parents, myself and my children when the time comes.
Pros: At-home feeling, friendly, down-to-earth staff
