One of the reviews below recommended Dr. Agler for anyone who needs a veterinarian in the Irving area. I would even say that for anyone who lives further away, it is worth the trip to Irving, because Dr. Agler is the best, and most caring veterinarian you will ever find. I live in Chicago, but travel quite frequently for my job, and typically spend winters in irving. About two years ago, I was in Irving my my dog was due for his annual check-up, and I found Dr. Agler online. I primarily chose Dr. Agler because he has a mobile clinic. My dog Clarence gets very stressed out when we go to the vet, so Dr. Agler's mobile ""ReadyVetGo"" service has worked out very well for us. He is very gentle with Clarence, and seems very caring. Clarence is actually very excited to see Dr. Agler when he comes to see us, and very willingly climbs up the stairs to the mobile clinic. Going to any other veterinarian has always been an ordeal, so it is really great to have a veterinarian that Clarence likes so much. Even though I still live in Chicago, I plan my travels so that I am in Irving when Clarence is due for his annual, and 6-month check-ups. His service is top-notch, and while it seems obvious that anyone who chooses to become a veterinarian would care about animals, I have never found a veterinarian who seems as caring as Dr. Agler. more

The absolute best veterinarian I've had the honor of knowing! A huge added bonus are his fantastic staff members. Everyone at Pioneer Animal Hospital treats you and your pet like family. Besides being the most competent veterinarian I've found in 13+ years of being a pet-parent, he is also the most caring, concerned and knowledgeable. He will partner with you in finding the best way to treat your pet, and is an excellent communicator. He is also very friendly and easy to talk to, and gives great advice based on sound medical principles. He shows you how to administer medications and supplements, and knows exactly what foods you should be feeding, based on your pet's individual health needs. Dr. Agler has done for my ill pet what three veterinarians before him -- including a veterinary medicine specialist -- were either unable or unwilling to do. He completely understands the strong bond between pets and their humans, and treats both with amazing kindness and respect. If you live anywhere *near* Irving, this is the only veterinary clinic you should even consider taking your pet to. In my opinion, five stars isn't a high enough rating for this fine doctor and his wonderful staff. more

I've had many dogs and many vets over the years, some were downright unscruplous. I recently changed Vets. for my rescued carin. Dr. Agler was on D magazine's Best Vets. in Dallas. Both he and his staff made me feel completely secure that my Petey would be in good hands, that his interests would come first. I wish I had found him 10 dogs ago. Pros: Animal loving atmosphere more
