Amazing Gelato Bar! Hidden secret of Burbank! 8/29/2005

This place is a hidden family run treasure in Burbank. The Gelato Bar is to die for! You can't miss it when you walk in the door it jumps out like a delicious rainbow! It's homemade there, as fresh as can be! You can order a sampler, one flavor and they even have larger sizes for take home etc...Next time you're looking for a cold Gelato treat this is the place. Good Lunch Place 12/30/2003

I wouldn't say it's the greatest, but it is very decent food and very fair prices. The portions are generous as well. Lots of the typical tomato-y dishes, lasagna, parmigiana... but the hot sandwiches make the guys from work salivate at the thought. Good for a filling and hot lunch -and easy on the wallet. more

My fairy tale place 11/8/2002

Man, oh, man! $10 will get you a feast at Pinocchio's. Don't let the prices fool you, the food here is very good. I do not know how they stay in business. The eggplant parmesan is to die for! The cannolis are heavenly! The feta salad is marvelous! As a starving student, I trully appreciate a good value. This place is the one of the valley's best kept secrets. One fifth the Price of Buca 9/23/2002

I recently tried Buca di Beppo for the first time, and I couldn't help but thinking that Pinocchio is sooo much better and only 1/5 the price. No, it's not a special occasion favorite like Buca, but who cares? Why pay $22 for spaghetti and meatballs when I can pay $5? Pros: cheap food, good service Cons: only wine and beer more

Inexpensive Deli-Style Southern Italian 5/13/2002

I've been going to Pinocchios for as long as I can remember. Friends have told me it reminds them of neighborhood bodegas in New York and Chicago. The food is delicious if you like basic old style southern Italian. There's nothing elaborate about it. The choices are simple: spaghetti, egglplant, squiggly noodle spaghetti, meat or vegetarian lasagne, chicken or sausages. That's about it.
