I was searching for a new hair stylist and also wanted to go from brown to platinum blonde - with super short hair. I lucked up and got an appointment with Domini and the search is OVER! She told me what I could expect from the color, why I needed to wait a month to go full blonde, and gave me the best haircut I have ever had. I was referred to the Pink Mullet by my sister, who is an avid salon go-er. She has been to so many salons, so for her to highly recommend a place is a big deal. I finally went to Ryan..and he was incredible!! The experience was like nothing I have ever experienced in a salon. Ryan took the time to ask specific questions about what hair care I use, how I style it on a daily basis, and more. I loved how custom my experience felt, which is exactly how it should be! On top of that, he is an incredibly knowledgable stylist and very talented at what he does. The rest of the stylists there are so personable as well, which is awesome. I also love their referral program..its such an awesome idea! It definitely makes me want to keep coming back :) I would HIGHLY recomment this salon to anyone wanting an incredible salon experience with extremely accomodating staff. Thank you Pink Mullet! Pink Mullet Salon is the BEST!!!! I have been to several of the stylist there because I never know my schedule! They go out of their way to accomidate me and my busy schedule! Every stylist I have been to there is very talented and goes above and beyond, like I am the only person there!!! I am from Nashville and currently live in Chicago. Last time I was home I went to Pink Mullet Salon and got my hair cut and styled by Ryan. I am usually nervous to get my haircut because I have long, thick, curly hair, however, Ryan did an excellent job! He knew a lot about different types of hair and gave me a great, new style. He was able to give me what I wanted in a way that best suited my hair. He took his time and the result was awesome. I have waited til I return home to get my haircut by Ryan because I am so confident in his work. Finding someone who knows how to cut curly hair can be a challenge, but now I don't have to worry about that anymore. more

I have been to Pink Mullet twice now, and I really liked the salon, but the reason I will continue to go back is my stylist, Ryan. The first time I went in, my naturally very dark hair was bleached a platinum blonde. It usually took a dual process to lighten my roots without them looking brassy, but Ryan was able to lift them perfectly without leaving any gold, saving me time and money. He also knew a little trick of adding a certain substance (I'll save that secret for him) to the bleach so that the usually painful process was completely comfortable---I didn't feel a thing on my scalp. The second time I went in I decided to get rid of the platinum and go for something a little more natural looking, but I didn't want to lose the blonde completely. Ryan suggested doing an ombre technique which keeps the hair a little darker toward the roots and then gradually and subtly gets lighter toward the ends. The result was a beautiful, rich, natural-looking blonde that I absolutely LOVE. I never would have come up with the idea on my own, but it is exactly what I wanted because he seems to have a very good understanding of his clients. Not only is Ryan a great stylist, but he is also a fantastic conversationalist. Three hours in a chair can get pretty boring, but so far I have been very entertained and engaged while getting my hair done. I highly recommend this salon and especially Ryan to anyone who is looking for a stylist who does excellent hair and listens to and understands his clients! more

I had a hair disaster and got Pink Mullets number from a friend who got her hair done there. Sam did such an amazing job on my hair!!! She was so sweet and listened to what I wanted and also gave me her professional input and my hair turned out beautiful! She saved my hair.....and my husbands since I sent him into her also and she did an amazing job on his hair too. I believe I have found my hair dresser! Thank you Sam!!!! They are a great salon. I love the girl who does my hair I have been with her over two years. Kim is great she is always on time, does your hair exactly like you want and her cuts are amazing. The staff is great as well helpful and kind and always able to work with my crazy schedule. I tell all my friends where I get my hair done, they are not cheap but they are the best. I wanted to find a new stylist without the high end prices. I'm all about paying fair prices and tipping 20% for a professional cut and color. When I find the right person with fair pricing, I'm a loyal customer with an appt. made every 5 weeks. After reading all of the positive reviews about The Pink Mullet, I thought I would give it a try. Ryan was great! He was calm, soft spoken, took time to listen to what I wanted...he didn't rush me through a cut and color. The color turned out BEAUTIFUL - no brassy here. The cut/style - just like the photo I brought in! Unfortunately, I didn't save much compared to the previous salon I went to. Hoping the first visit was considered a color correction(?) and maybe future appts will offer a savings to my hair/color budget. I made another appt. with Ryan. I have long hair that is layered. I used to have to use a curling iron everyday, but with my cut I don't have to. I get so many compliments on my hair - Darla is the best! My mom and son also go to Darla. Pink Mullet has a very comfortable and laid back feel. more

By far my favorite place to go to get my hair cut/colored. Kim is very attentive; she takes the time to listen to the client and find out what they want. She also gives her artistic input, and oftentimes comes up with something even better than what the client envisioned. You will not be dissapointed. Be assured, though, that even if Kim isn't available, I would trust my locks to any of the stylists at Pink Mullet. Pros: Fun, non-judgemental atmosphere. Cons: No cons. more
