Just used them to install new tires and get them aligned. Their price was fair, they were very professional, and had excellent customer service. I would recommend them to anyone looking to spend their money at a local shop. more

I was reluctant to use Pine Tree based on the other posted reviews, but I was highly recommended to them by John from Portland Auto Sales, and I was not disappointed in the least. I found David to be honest, professional and competent. The work he did was under budget, was done in less time than expected, and the quality was excellent. I would recommend him to anyone. I did ask him about the other recent post (a rant), and he told me that customer wanted him to do fix damage that was not the result of the covered accident and have the insurance company pay for it. He refused, and she became pushy to the point of being obnoxious, and her threw her out of his office - and I would have too. more

Buyers BEWARE! This is the worst auto body shop ever! We got a hand painted brush job complete with orange peel and wrong color! The paint job was over scratches and dents. The so called ""professional"" charges more than any other body shop in the entire state of Maine. He did the least amount of work, ""to quote save us money!"" So he could get the most money out of doing the least. We got two lights put on the car and a hand job to cover the damage. Nothing else got done, no bumpers put on or any of the work the insurance company wanted done. When we voiced this, he simply closed up shop, never put in a supplemental to our insurance company, and went away for 24 days on a ""family emergency!"" He refused to take any calls from the insurance or rental car company. He was just never open. He held our car in hostage for 24 days and walked away. Yesterday, I paid the rental car company with the insurance check, $500.00 and was told to bring a cashiers check in or $700.02 in cash. I left the money on his desk and he voiced that it was only $600.00, I told him that he doesn't know how to count. He recounted and I left asking for my car back. In front of the rental car person he started to shout swear words at me, telling me to leave his property, and screaming at me and I am a WOMAN. STAY AWAY FROM THIS MAN, DAVID COPPERFIELD, PRESIDENT OF THE WORST AUTO BODY SHOP IN THE STATE, he is a SCAM artist, he is not endorsed by any of the insurance companies in America, everything is his way or no way. His prices are the highest in the state. He doesn't work off the insurance estimate. He basically does what he wants for the least and gets most of the insurance money. You should see the clownish botch job on my car. He ""hand painted"" a smudge over all the scratches, left off two bumpers, and left me over $1,200 worth of work left to do and wouldn't let me take the car to another shop, but held my car hostage for 24 days, so we would have to use the insurance money on a ""rental car"". The person at Enterprise rental could not believe how he talked to a customer that was unhappy and just given him $700.00! He told me that he would be ""embarrassed if he was him"", this owner was screaming for every shop owner around to hear. He has a real problem! He must be bi-polar! WE GOT SCREWED AND HE SAW TO IT THAT WE DID! BEWARE! He comes on like he'll SAVE YOU MONEY AND THIS AND THAT! He takes your money and does the least for the MOST and works off no insurance estimate, but asks WHAT DO YOU WANT DONE??????? I have always take my car to professionals in the area like, Moody's and the like. NOTHING LIKE THIS DID I KNOW EXISTED? MY HUSBAND FELL FOR HIM, AGAIN NO INSURANCE COMPANY ENDORSED HIM AT ALL. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS CON ARTIST, PLEASE! On to BBB, Attorney General's Office and to serve him in court. HE DESERVES IT. MY CAR LOOKS LIKE IT WAS NEVER REPAIRED! I will talk and talk and talk this place down forever! THIS IS AN ABUSIVE MAN THAT ABUSES CUSTOMERS! I would like to see the state SHUT HIM DOWN! PLEASE STAY AWAY! more

I had to take my car back twice and it still was awful. I ended up going to Broadway Collision who did an awesome job. I do not reccomend Pine Tree Auto body for ANY work. Pros: Non that I can think of Cons: Poor customer service. more
