We have been to Pine Hollow for 3 years on 4th of July and it's a tradition now! We wouldn't go anywhere else!! It's beautiful, the water is great and everyone is super nice! The camp sites there where really clean and well taken care of! The restaurant has great food, the store has a great variety of things and the bar has live bands!! Overall great place to camp and make family memories!!! more

awesome lake, nice selection of boat rentals, but...... 9/7/2009

the store/office/boat rental shop was right in the park and convenient, but closed at 6pm every day, and bar/restaurant was very nice to have around. the lake was picturesque and incredibly warm, which is unusual for waters coming right off the mountains in the middle of summer. the thing was, the campsites obviously weren't cleaned by previous campers, and maintenance staff obviously didn't pick up after anyone either. we pitched our tent and then realized that right behind it, was a tampon laying in the grass. bottle caps, plastic wrappers, all kinds of small debris was strewn throughout our campsite. there was no privacy between sites either, no trees or extra footage between tents. we were up for one of the nights listening to a screaming baby next door. also, the porta potties were DISGUSTING and looked as if they had not been serviced for months.we enjoyed the lake, but would most likely not come back to stay again. Pros: warm waters, nearby bar/restaurant Cons: dirty porta-potties, littered campsites more

Overcharging 6/8/2009

We usually go for the derbys, have for the last 10 years, we had over 14 people in our group, we were charged for extra people in our trailor(there was 1) and he had to pay to park his truck and extra for his boat trailer and to have his boat in the water, it is none of there busness who we have in our trailer, we paid the fee to have the trailer there. The area was dirty, the people we had come up left a little later and was charged five extra dollors, even though they had spent almost 250.00 that weekend, they may be after the almighty dollor, but they lost a whole bunch of customers!!! Together our group spent over 490.00, glad they can affortd to lose that much,. Pros: good fishing Cons: dirty and the people were almost rude more
