I have been going to Pine Castle Animal for 5 years now & can't compliment them enough. They have the nicest staff, very reasonable prices & the doctors, i can't say enough about them. If u r truly looking for a great place to bring your pets, its her as far as I am concerned. If you want your dog dead... Bring it to Pine Castle Animal hospital...I brought my 5 year old Golden Retriever here in Aug. 08 and left him in the care if the doctor... Or so I thought. My dog Henry was sick and vomiting but still active. I brought Henry to Pine Castle Animal clinic to get checked out and treated. I authorized them to do whatever it took to treat him and to let me know the cost. We loved Henry so money was not an issue. Well... This day the Doctor Craig decided he was going to leave early to board up his windows for a storm. He never gave Henry a simple XRay that could have saved his life. He left unqualified techs incharge of diagosing my dogs illness and when theycalled me 4 hours after I dropped Henry off to tell me he was dying and wouldn't make it through the day I was shocked. I went there and asked what was going on? The tech says we believe it could be a spider bite, snake bite, poison, k9 aids, k9 cancer, a blockage or parvo....I was like... What? Which is it? The tech simply coundn't say for sure. Now mind you my dog walked with me into the clinic 4 hours earlier. Then come to find out the doctor left early this day! Well... Henry made it throught the day but they (Pine Casle Animal Clinic) would not allow Henry to stay overnight for treatment and they had me load him into the back of my car at 5pm when they were closing. I brought hime to an all night clinic where they gave Henry and XRAY right away and found a simple blackage in his intestine. An xray would have saved my dogs life and these people didn't even recognize text book symptoms and basic k9 medical procedures. So this ordeal cost me $2700, my dog is dead and to top it off... I had a run in with this doctor Craig J. Lautenschlager in the parking lot of his clinic months later (as I worked right next door) and he admitted to me that he would have done things differently if he could go back... Then he had the nerve to ask me if I wanted to hit him to even the score? Hit him? This guy is a joke! I don't want to hit him or anyone else. What I really want is my dog back... but I cant have that because if these people. My 3 year old daughter keeps telling people ""Henry's with Jesus now"" Stay clear of this place... It's a racket and a joke! \r \r more

I am amazed at how wonderful the people are at Pine Castle Animal Clinic. I have moved all over the US and rely on CitySearch and their reviews and i think this place is just SUPERB! The staff was friendly and knowledgable. The Doctor was kind and thorough. I only wish they saw people! I can't believe my luck to actually find a vet office I just adore. It makes it much easier to bring my pets to a place that i trust. I reccomend this vet to anyone who even lives somewhat close by....it is well worth the drive! Thanks for being there!! :) more

I have 3 cats and 2 dogs and think this clinic is just wonderful. The doctors explain everything with you and take the time with you and your pet.The staff is so good and the place smells so nice. I can tell they really care about my pets. I wouldn't take my pets any where else. If you love your pets, you will take them here! more

After visiting 3 other vets including our local SPCA (and spending a LOT of money ), we finally got our answer and solutions to Jelly Bean's problem. She is now happy and purring!!! Pros: no waiting, great vet, great staff Cons: none more

I have had pets all my life and been to many vets over the years. I found the doctors here and staff treat you like family. I would reccomend the clinic to anyone who wants great care and reasonable prices. I am happy to know there are still people out there like them. Thanks. more

I have been taking my pets to Pine Castle Animal Hospital for 20 years. The staff has always been kind, caring, and compassionate. Several years ago I had to have one of my cats put down due to Feline Leukemia and the vet came to my house! They have sent cards and called me when my pets were sick. I am grateful to have a facility that cares so much about animals. more

I have had such a great experience with Pine Castle and there staff that I will not go to another clinic. I have been looking for a vet for years and I am finally glad I found one that is reasonable, friendly, knowledgable, and open 6 days a week. They have a great boarding facility with people who really seem to care. I would not trust my pets with anyone else nor would I go to any other place in Orlando! I just LOVE my experience at Pine Castle Animal Clinic. I have lived in Orlando a few years going from one bad clinc to another. Their staff is wonderful, kind and caring. Their Doctors are skilled and efficient and their pricing was ressonable. I was refferred to Pine Castle by a friend and it was the best thing I have done for my animals. They saved my cat's life and for that I am forever grateful! I wouldn't go anywhere else!!!! more

When we recently traveled (May 2008) from Nashville, TN to Orlando, FL to enjoy Sea World for 2 days, we were a bit concerned about kenneling our 6 month old beagle pup for the 1st time - especially being out of State and not knowing if the place is actually as good as it sounds online. We were delighted by Pine Castle Animal Hospital. The staff there ALL treated our boy with love and affection. The staff is SO friendly - I felt like we have known them for a long time! We felt so comfortable with them that we decided to leave him overnight instead of retrieving him and going back the next morning. He was with them two days total. He was happy and healthy when we picked him up - in fact, we asked them to clean his ears and clip his nails and they totally handled it for us at a very reasonable price! The other big surprise was that it only cost $16.00 for 2 days of kenneling - a major deal we thought! Pine Castle is about a 30 minute drive from Sea World - a little bummer, but WELL worth it and really an easy drive via I-4. I HIGHLY recommend Pine Castle in Orlando, FL. Thank you Pine Castle for taking care of our Hunter boy while we played at Sea World! You all are gems! Pros: Price, staff friendliness, cleanliness, safety to my animal, not a communal kennel to endanger my dog. Cons: They aren't closer to Sea World - but really not a big deal! WELL worth the drive! more

This is the BEST kennel I have ever found, in the state of Florida or anywhere around. The veterinarians and staff there are well trained and friendly and really seem to care about the animals and the people. The kennels look brand new and are in immaculate condition. It is clean and the animals are all well adjusted. I love the fact there is a veterinarian on staff to monitor and treat my pet. I have looked into other kennels that let them play with other dogs, and having seen, what it appears to be, untrained staff, with all these dogs running around and fighting at certain points, I am glad to know my pet gets special one on one attention instead of being thrown into a room with a whole bunch of other dogs. Thank you Pine Castle for being there and caring for my pet like it was your own. I wouldn't choose any other place! I have four pets and it is hard to find a reliable, clean, friendly, and well skilled Veterinary Clinic, but Pine Castle Animal Clinic offers all of this and more. The skilled staff and Doctors are all there to help you and your pets. They are frinedly and honest and saved one of my pets that was near death. My dog Stella has led a long and productive life because of the care I received at the clinic. I don't know what I would do without them. I have boarded my pets many times and even in emergencies the staff is so caring and loving, my pets come out well adjusted, happy and clean. I wouldn't go any were else. It is nice to see in this day and age a Veterinary Clinic that cares so much and is always there for you and your pets. Thank you Pine Castle for doing an excellent job! I boarded my Yorkshire Terrier here based on this site's reviews, and it was a terrible mistake. From the moment you enter the building, you are enveloped in the overwhelming scent of vanilla trying to mask the funk in the air. The staff tries to get you to have your animal groomed so you will not learn how deplorable the conditions really are; my dog, who I keep well-groomed with a short puppy-cut, was extremely dirty with dried feces attached his backside. It is always so hard to leave my animals when I go away, but the people at Pine Castle Animal Clinic were wonderful. They made me feel at ease leaving my pets and catered to my needs. I feel at ease knowing my animals are being left at such a wonderful place that also offers veterinary services. I know if my animals were to get sick, they are there to care for them immediately. I have to board my dog every so often which I hate doing. The staff at Pine Castle Animal Clinic make me feel that my pet is truly cared for & loved during her stays. I also feel very welcome everytime I'm in the clinic. My pet is quite hyper & the staff still seems to enjoy having her. I highly recommend this vet for anyone's pet needs.
