I was really excited when this self-admitted "vegan-friendly" restaurant opened in my neighborhood. There aren't too many options around for plant-based dining. I have been here twice now and did not stay to eat either time. The first time, the manager or owner had no ideas for what I could eat when I asked for a vegan suggestion. The second time, I was told that they had whole wheat pizza crust, but they weren't really sure what the vegan options were. I would really expect a "vegan-friendly" pizza place to offer Daiya cheese, or some other animal-free option. I feel like this restaurant has used "vegan" as a catch phrase, without really understanding what it means. I doubt I will give this place a third shot.
