Pieper, Terry L, Md - Howe Street Internal Medicine

I have been a patient for 18 months. The primary issue with most physicians and particularly primary care physicians is that the patient does not get enough face time. This has not been an issue with Dr. Pieper and I feel that he tries very hard to practice medicine on his terms and by what is best for his patients. A number of my friends also go to him and they are all satisfied. I think he does a great job! more

I have dealt with the people at Howe Street Internal Medicine for almost 4 years now due to my parents declining health. I do appreciate the kindness and concern Dr. Pieper usually shows once he FINALLY makes it into the room with the patient (that's about an hour or so wait in the Dr's office). However, his recommendations have been off on more than one occasion and his STAFF are just EVIL. This is not an isolated event!! I actually called there to inquire about getting my Dad an appointment and because my very SICK mother(she has Parkinson and demetia-memory issues) had called the day before, they did not want to WASTE their time repeating what they had already told my mother. I then explained that she has been sick(as they should know better than anyone!!) and has memory issues, so if they could just speak to me and tell me what they had told her I would really appreciate the help. I was given the response back, well if your mom can't remember what we tell her then she SHOULD NOT be CALLING HERE!! Yeah great guys, in fact I believe her name was Shelly. So go ahead Shelly, just make a sick woman feel even more stupid and sick!! What happened to compassion in this industry?!? The staff at this office should be shot for their behavior. It's disgusting, hurtful, and just rude. Shame on you all at this office!! Maybe it's time the DR really took a LOOK at his own staff before continuing to look at his patients...that is when he IS EVEN THERE! All and all, very sad and disappointing experiences. After this, I do believe I will be finding a new Dr for my parents. They should be ashamed of themselves for this treatment towards the sick!! Disgusted. more
