Called Piedmont Metro as my Ac unit had quit working. After haggling out the details of an appointment time (should have been my FIRST clue) of between 1pm and 5pm I made sure that my schedule was clear so I could be there so they could repair my AC. Tech shows up, completely disheveled looking, and with an odor that smelled more like he had come from the bar than any professional business. This should have been my SECOND clue. Was told I had a bad compressor and that I needed a "Levi bracket" as well and he gave me a price. I told him I would have to talk to my husband for a minute and to "excuse me a moment". Went and had husband look up compressors for our brand and model unit, way way way lower than what the tech was quoting me, and I was making sure to take into account the charge for labor, time, ect. Also found out..there is NO SUCH THING as a "Levi Bracket" for my unit (and after calling several ac repair businesses in my area, found that when I asked for said bracket I was asked "What is that? I've never heard of that for an ac unit when replacing a compressor..." So now the tech is trying to sell non-existent items. I asked the tech to leave immediately and told him what I had found out. You would think that he would at least LOOK ashamed to have been found out, but he just looked at me hatefully and told me "Fine, but you still have to pay the diagnostic fee." I shouldn't have, but I paid it just to make this joke of an ac tech GO AWAY. Tried to contact the business about this and kept getting "We will speak with the tech and call you back first thing in the morning." Of course no call ever came and after calling them twice more I finally gave up. In between all this I called a different AC repair business and got my system back up and running for way less than what I was told by the tech from Piedmont Metro. If I could possibly give Piedmont Metro less than one star, I would as I don't think they deserve that much. Do not waste your time or money with them.
