Picture People the

My family and I have been using the Picture People fro 7 years, at many different locations across the country, as we have moved a few times. I LOVE THEM! I have gone to other studios when my oldest son was little and it was always - you sit here- you sit here- every sit still - say cheese - I am sorry your son cried through the whole process in our stuffy studio- that'll be $500.00 please. I found the picture people shortly after the birth of my youngest son - he was colicky and we knew it was going to be hard to have pictures made, but we really wanted to have them made since we lived so far from family. I found the picture people and they were so much more relaxed and laid back that it was easy to get the little one to relax and we got some great shots! I haven't had pictures made with anyone else in 7 years. Of course, if you have little ones, always try to schedule when it is the slowest time of the day - that is true with everything when they are little. You don't HAVE to use the props - we haven't used props in 3 years and our pics always come out great! In fact, other members of our family saw our pictures, they have started using the picture people as well. And their prices are fairly reasonable as well. more

The Picture People have the cutest advertising and the most enticing coupon offers, but when I took my son in to get his picture taken on his first birthday, I was disappointed. First of all, the photographer really wasn't able to get my son to smile, or even look at her. I suppose that was not entirely her fault. He just wasn't being cooperative. My big gripe was that the pictures were all about their giant props, rather than my child. I ended up getting a picture of him in a boat, holding a fishing pole, and I could barely see what he looked like. On top of that, the photographer didn't really do much to suggest what would look good. I really didn't like any of the pictures she took and probably should not have bought any. It was a waste of time and money. I didn't even want to give the pictures to anyone. more
