I went to Wal-mart portrait studio to get fall pictures done a couple of weeks ago. It was a very uncomfortable environment. First of all, I booked the appointment in person and told the photographer exactly what I wanted and how many people. When I came in for the appointment she said it couldnt be done and kind of argued with me about it. Eventually we got the background we wanted. The she seemed irritated that she had to work with my kids who are 1 and 5. (and let me tell you... compared to others and other times they were being very cooperative.) This made the pictures turn out less than perfect. She didnt want to retake shots and made me settle for not so good ones. Secondly, she made me choose 7 backgrounds. I didnt want 7 backgrounds and if it is their policy to take that many shots then I think they should be done with whatever background the client wants. (even if its the same one everytime) Third, she wouldnt let me keep all my good poses. She made me pick one pose for each of the 7 backgrounds which I did not want. This was confusing to me since they are my pictures. And last, I went in for the 4.99 special and was pressured into buying 100.00 dollars worth of pictures I did not want. I was not able to look through them in my own timely fashion and when I said I did not want the pricey package she wouldnt back off. (I have never been pressured by and photographer to buy more pictures or pictures that I am not happy with) And this going on all while my 1 year old is crying and trying to take off because she refused to book my appointment at a convientent time for us. She booked it right at nap time even though I asked for a later one. And the schedule was not full. I could see it. To say the least, I walked away disappointed and I felt cheated. I will not ever go back to Wal-mart for pictures. Alot of other places have great deals and better professionalism.
Pros: Okay pictures
Cons: Where do I start
