The Pickford is the place to go in Bellingham to see films that are not in the mainstream. Ever since I went to see _The Red Violin_ at the Pickford I have been a regular. They bring in quality films including documentaries and foreign films. Ticket prices are reasonable and buying a membership brings them down further and includes free popcorn.
The cinema usually changes its offerings once a week. This is both good and bad because it allows a lot of films to come through, but also if one isn't around the week a certain film is showing you are out of luck!
It is a small theatre so seating is limited. Part of its small-time feel is enhanced by the projectionist making announcements before every showing. This can be cute the first few times, but can wear over time. Some of the other disadvantages are the seats are not in the best shape and the heat is kept at a minimum during the winter. However, the cinema is great overall.
