My recommendation is to stay as far away from this place as possible. Unless you like dance mom attitudes and you have to never disagree with the owner.. Sweet as pie until you disagree, then watch out! They do win and if you can deal with the rest of it and you kid is exceptional and you are just worried about winning trophies then this is the place for you! more

Very unfriendly studio.. Unless your kid is exceptional do not go there. Even if they are... do not argue or disagree with anything or you will not have a good time. If you kid is exceptional and you are willing to deal with the attitudes and dance mom mentality than this is the place to go! more

My Daughter has been going here for several years.Recently, one of the students was crowned MISS DANCE MICHIGAN, and competed for Miss Dance America.There are so many trophy's and awards, they dont have anywhere to put them all! There is a lot going on here, and the prices are the same or maybe less than the last studio we used,the place has been beautifully repainted,( By a parent? and it is something to see) and its just a pretty good place for a child to learn dance. There are different things that set Piazza apart from the other studio's we have been to. The owners are as sweet as anyone we have ever met, they are fully engaged and genuinely love dance .You just cant fake that. Now , some of the parents are hard to deal with,(just like any school or organization, there is always one in every crowd) but we have had overwhelmingly positive interactions from this school. Our child has made numerous friends , and we enjoy support for our child, while helping support other children. There are many phenomenal dancers here, and many go on to college dance ....I would definitely try this place out if you are looking for a dance studio....but that is up to you....but keep in mind, there is a reason kids come from all different areas to dance here.Enjoy. This is not a place that makes newcomers feel at home, and it is run in a very authoritarian manner. Some of the teachers are quite good, while others are very mediocre. They will combine levels in a class if they don't have enough students, and the higher level students suffer. Costume and ticket prices are outrageous. Definitely not worth the money. Cons: Very dictatorial place. Do not listen to parents' concerns. more

A Piazza dance family for more than 12 years, I have two daughters who have grown to be disciplined, confident young women with positive self-esteems and creative energy which I attribute greatly to their dance training at Piazza. The instructors provide great technical training, in a positive, encouraging atmosphere. Piazza has fresh, unique choreography which makes routines fun and really entertaining. The year-end recital is first class and my family and friends look forward to the show each year. My daughters' peers are fun, serious dancers who work very hard. One very important note-the families at this studio are awesome - friendly and genuinely supportive. My girls started dancing at ages 3 and 5, progressing through the Rec program to the Intensive program - they're amazing dancers and fantastic kids. The results speak for themselves. My daughter has been in recreational and competitive dance at Piazza since she was 3yrs old. She is now appoaching her 14th birthday and I feel that Piazza has helped instill the wonderful morals and values that my daughter has through dedication and discipline. She has learned the art of dance with great encouragement and love. I highly recommend Piazza Dance Co. for your child if you are looking for the same. The education here is priceless! My daughter has danced with Piazza for many years and I am continually impressed by the friendly and caring staff and positive learning enviornment. I know that my child is not only receiving excellent training but is having a blast while doing it. She looks forward to her classes every week! more

DO not recommend for competitive dance classes. Too many unexplained charges listed as MISC. expences on your account. Costume pricing out of hand. Somewhat unorganized enviroment with staff and operational proceedures. REC. CLASSES aere O.K. as stated in a previous review. more

This dance studio is a rip off!! They double their costume prices each year for students. Recital tickets are $19 each!! Students are not treated as individals and they descriminate based on age and size. If you want a recreational program, this studio is fine. If you will compete, beware!! $250.00 costumes and you have to put on your own rhinestones! more
