This place is awesome. Got recommeded by a friend. My wife and I just moved to Huntsville and we want to try a Thai place in Huntsville. The food is very good. We started with Super Shrimp Roll as an appetizer. The shrimp is fresh and tasty. I love the sauce that comes with it. I Got Pad Thai, a basic dish for any Thai place. My wife got Spicy Beef. They nailed it. Both dishes are excellent. The service is also very friendly and attentive. We don't understand why they got a bad review here. We think Phuket is a decent and very nice restaurant. We'll frequent this place as often as possible. Pros: good food and very reasonable price Cons: a little dark more

for $40 I got: the crispy salmon roll (which had small pieces of salty cooked salmon instead of real, fresh salmon), tuna sashimi that was not sushi grade and I could not eat, tobiko, shrimp that was sushi grade and was very chewy, snowcrab, basil rolls with no basil and very little shrimp, and pad thai that was ok and that also did not come with any lime. This restaurant has 4.5 out of 5 stars. How is that possible? C'mon Huntsville and man-up.... I took your advise on this one and got burned.... more

Had to wait 45 minutes after being seated for our order to arrive at our table. On a weekend, understandable, but this was a week night when the restaurant wasn't busy. The food was okay but nothing great. Per the menu, Pepper Brown Rice was to accompany my meal but instead received a bowl of white rice. Don't believe that we will ever return. more

The food was excellent, the decor was very nice, but everything else about our visit was problematic. We ordered a bottle of wine, waited, and then were told they were out of that wine. Ordered a second bottle, waited, and were told they were out of that one too. Ordered a Singha (Thai beer, first one on the menu), but they were out of that too! Okay, we'll have a Phuket beer (""sorry, we're out of all thai beers). Ouch! But it got much worse. We arrived at 7PM and were seated promptly. We ordered promptly too (as promptly as possible due all the delays with being denied our drink orders). We waited an hour for our entree's. When we enquired with the server she said that ""a lot of orders went in at the same time"". However, we were watching people finish their entrees who had ordered well after our order should have been in. Still no meal. When pressed (she did actually go inquire about our order after we inquired), the server stated that there was confusion in the kitchen and offered no real apology. We were eating out with our children, both of them pretty patient, and one of them was laying his head down to sleep at the table when our food came. The food was great. But the overall experience was dissapointing and downright aggrevating. The final straw was when the bill arrived: We were charged for the wine that they didn't even have on hand! Come on people! The food was great, if the cooks can get around to making it, but the overall lack of management was a real disappointment. I travel around the country, and I was very surprised to find such a good authentic Thai restaurant in this area. The jungle curry was amazing. The sushi was even very good for the area. The prices were very reasonable for everything, although the sushi was a bit on the high end. The portions were large. The atmosphere was classy casual, staff was pleasant, and owner was very nice. Phuket has real great Thai food that you ought to try. As a Thai person who loves hot and spicy food, I particularly like their ""Spicy Lemon Grass Salad"" and ""Jungle Curry"". The atmosphere is also great with nice contemporary decor and lighting. I highly recommend this place. more

I have eaten there several times and the quailty is consistently superb. Paul is a superior manager and always has the best wait staff. They have the best wines around and a beautiful atmosphere. On a nice day, the patio is the place to be! more

What a great place! It was my first time to visit this awesome eatery. I can't believe that in the small town like Huntsville, there is a wonderful place like Phuket. When I heard of it from my friend who has been there several times, I do not expect that this restaurant will be any different from other Thai restaurants. After I had a dinner with my friends, I totally understand why he liked this place so much. It exceeds expectation in everything. The place is very beautiful. Color scheme, decorations, music, all are great. Foods and the presentations are very nice as well. The waiter is very attentive and prompt to service. Price is not as expensive as I would think, compared with other chain restaurants. You can easily fulfill your appetite with less than $15 for a dinner. Great value for the beautiful place like this! My family and I have eaten dinner at Phuket many times because the service and food are great. My nephew, who does not like food, loves ?Phuket Orange Peel? (Chicken fried with orange peel sweet and sour sauce), and my parents love ?Lamb Lime Leaf? with special sauce. My favorite dishes are ?Crunchy Roll? and ?Wasabi Maki?. Moreover, the decoration of the restaurant is fantastic. I had visited ""Phuket"" restaurant several times already. The name of the restaurant is a little bit hard to pronounce. I did ask the waiter how to say it correctly (it is pronounced as ""Pooh-Ket"") and learned that it was the name of the resort island in Thailand. Definitely the place is more like resort, very well decorated, with a contemporary color, style, and music. The service and the food are also excellent. Every dish has a nice presentation. My favorite dish is ""Grilled Rib Eye"" with dipping sauce. It's a signature dish of the restaurant. I also had a ""Fried Ice-cream"" with raspberry sauce as a dessert. I would say I love every dish that I tried so far. They have martini bar and sushi bar too. Sushi is very fresh and tasty. Price is not as expensive as it looks. Lunch menu is in the range of $7-$8.
