Sandy was there for me as I prepared for my father's funeral. He took an old abused negative and worked his magic which resulted in an outstanding color print! He also took a poorly cropped photo and gave it proportion. His endeavors did not end there as he created additional reproduction prints that we proudly include with my dad's alter. \r He is very personable and even if you don't need work done at this time stop in and say Hello! We came to Oahu for our family vacation and stayed at the Hyatt in Waikiki. We wanted to do a photo shoot on the beach as a souvenir gift for us to remember our first trip as a family. We contacted many photographers through a Yelp search and my wife and I were appalled at the money they charged. $300 and up for 1-2 hour photo sessions? We weren't paying that much! They also made ridiculous rules like ""Only one outfit"", etc. My wife's childhood friend who moved to Hawaii recommended this place. We gave photoworldhawaii a call and Delano was excellent. He didn't put a time restriction on our photo shoot, no ridiculous rules, he did not rush us, and he was really friendly. He put our best photos in a keepsake album and personally dropped off the album to us at the Hyatt. He truly showed me the meaning of Aloha and made our trip a lot more meaningful.\r more

Delano Holley of Photo World did a spectacular job on restoring some very old family photo's of my grandfather and his brothers and he worked a absolute miracle on a the only existing picture of my great grandfather he is truly a magician with old photo's. I was given the name of Delano Holley for restoration of some of my old photographs. Some photos were of myself as a child others of my grandmother and her family. I was very impressed with the quality of the restoration. And also the time and care that Mr. Holley took while he worked with my photos. I came to Photoworld as a recommendation from a family member when I was in search for a photographer when I first started working in the hotel industry. I introduced several guests to Mr. Delano Holley. Many of the guests were very happy with the photos. He promptly delivered the photos to the hotel before their departure. A reliable photographer. He also does old photos and retouches them too. My family had some old photos that was brownish color-those photos our grandparents had in their trunk. Well he did a great job in retouching them. Terrific job! Ver pleased with his work and professional attitude. I came across Photoworld Hawaii when I needed to do my Senior Portraits back in 2007. I wanted to take photos on location as well as on the beach for my Senior Portraits. Delano was very helpful and captured beautiful pictures. He did not rush me at all, he was very friendly, and made me feel extremely comfortable during the shoot.\r \r When I got to look at the final product, I LOVED it! My Mom ordered over 100 4 x 6 prints to distribute to my friends and family here on Oahu as well as the Mainland. She also ordered a couple 8 x 10 prints to give to my grandparents :)\r \r Recently, I went to Photoworld for a couples photo shoot. We went to the beach of my choice and took pictures during sun down. I got the pictures quickly, less than 24 hours and they were BEAUTIFUL. I live in San Francisco, my mother passed away in Honolulu. My relatives and I needed a picture of her for the funeral. My family searched around and all they found was a copy of her Hawaii Driver's License. Photoworld was recommended to us and we took it there. We were very apprehensive and did not believe they could do much with a Driver's License that had marks all over it and is highly pixelated.\r \r We needed the finish product within 2 days (48 hours). 6 months ago I came across Delano as a referral from a co-worker. I needed a picture of my great grandmother restored. The picture was old, falling apart, and was loosing its color.\r \r I brought the photo to Delano hoping for the picture to be restored to it's former glory. Delano called me back a week later to pick up my photo. When I got the photo, I was so impressed. The missing parts of the photo were magically pieced together to the final product. I cannot say what we ""received"" because, three months later, Delano (owner/photographer) still hasn't delivered them yet. Most photographers want to hang onto the originals so they can sell you prints, we paid up for the photo CD for this reason, yet, he absolutely will not give it to us and has ignored repeated emails and phone calls. As of now, he stole our money because we haven't received a single thing from the shoot.\r \r About the shoot, we shot in a public park. We booked him for the afternoon to shoot 50 people. He dropped a bomb on us (right before the shoot) that he over-booked himself, giving us 30 minutes!! He was racing through us, half-a$$ing the shots (a 'professional' couldn't possibly be this bad), yelling at the family to not shoot any of their own photos... in the public park, lol. He was so panicked that he wouldn't make his next shoot - as if it was our fault!! We had him for the afternoon. He later had the nerve to scold me (when I called about our CD), saying the family was being a ""pain,"" because they weren't moving fast enough for him, as he was rushing. \r \r I could somehow rationalize it all if the photos were great. I'm telling you, amateur hour doesn't accurately describe it, I'm shocked his thumb wasn't in the photos, they were literally that bad. I wish I had the photos to show everyone how poor they truly were. I'm glad we took our own photos, to at least have something to show for us all coming out.\r \r My mother-in-law booked the shoot not knowing anything about him, there were no negative reviews about him. So hopefully this can serve as a warning - AVOID AT ALL COSTS. You'll pay for horrible photos that you will never get. This guy is totally a ""wannabe,"" a random guy with a decent camera passing himself off as a ""professional photographer.""
