This is one of the best Vietnamese/Thai restaurants Ive ever tried, and a favorite of mine for the past six years. The salad rolls (fresh and accompanied by a flavorful peanut sauce) are a great appetizer, and the pho is, to my taste, the best rendition of this dish in Seattle, due in large part to the rich, flavorful beef stock. The hot-and-sour soup with fresh mushrooms, tomatoes, baby corn, and chicken or prawns is also excellent. Both Thai and Vietnamese-style fried rice are offered, but I prefer the Vietnamese, with its morsels of lap cheong sausage. Portions are generous, the restaurant is clean and well-lit, and service is friendly and efficient. Phoenix is not a romantic hideaway, but who needs romance when the food is fantastic?
