Went to Phoebe's in December for my birthday dinner after a work event at the Genesee Grand Hotel. I had a steak dish with roasted beets and string beans and it had a great red wine reduction sauce. My boyfriend had another cut of steak and it was served with a carmelized onion and bleu cheese sauce. Both sauces were great but the onion/bleu cheese sauce was a bit better. The meat was cooked perfectly - probably one of the best preparations of steak I've ever had. We went another time for lunch a few week's later and were pleased as well with our meal. The atmosphere and decor are very charming although the main dining room, which seems like an add-on, doesn't seem as cozy as the bar area or the private function room. This goes on the list as one of my fav's in Syracuse!
