I've tried almost every major pho restaurant in the Twin Cities, and Pho 79 (Energy Park) has the best tasting pho around. Their other signature Vietnamese dishes might not be as plentiful or fulfilling as other popular Vietnamese restaurants, but when I'm craving for pho, I only look to Pho 79. It's where I take out-of-towners who want to sample the Twin Cities' best pho. But I do have to agree with the user that said that the service could get bad during really busy times. But that's once in like every 20 times that I go there (I go there a lot). Me and my group of pho eating friends agree that Pho 79 on Energy Park (not Nicollet) serves the best pho in the Twin Cities, hands down. Their broth is the best. It's light, consistent and has the right combination of sweetness and saltiness you're looking for in good pho. If you ask people who regularly eat pho, they'll tell you that the broth is the most important component in distinguishing good pho from average pho. And 79's got it. Their ingredients always seem fresh as well.
Pros: Best pho in the Twin Cities, decent Egg rolls and Spring rolls
Cons: Pork chop dishes are a little skimpy, service could get bad if it's really busy
