My son has taken the phlebotomy and ECG classes here. He said the classes were very engaging, educational, and fun. My personal interactions with the staff have always been positive, too. We both give this school an A+. :) more

Phlebotomy Training Specialists is the only school I would recommend to anyone who is interested in a career in Phlebotomy. For months actively looked for a school that would meet my needs and skill level I was wanting to achieve. From the first day of class it was obvious the instructors were enthusiastic and excited to teach with direction, a sense of humor and knowledge base, that eased the minds of new students. The approach of addressing each students needs on a one on one basis was exceptional, every question or concern was answered swiftly and with a smile. The Hands on Approach from day one created excitement for those who were attending class for the first time or someone like myself who wanted to ""brush"" up on my skills to advance in my career.\r I was so impressed with the instructors and methods of teaching, that I am continuing my education in January, 2014 by attending the IV and EKG classes.\r I would highly recommend Phlebotomy Training Specialists as ""THE SCHOOL"" to attend for excellence and a knowledge base that will create value in the workplace. more

I actually was thinking about this school so I checked into the claim by M P. below. I called the Division of Consumer Protection, proprietary schools department. I spoke with the gal who said all the information at the bottom of their web site means is that they are not accredited by the United States Department of Education. Which means there are not college credits earned AND it is on the site of every Phlebotomy School in Utah... They all have to put that one their sites. After learning how off the previous post was, I called a few employers. Turns out many of them hire almost exclusively from this school. More than HALF of the employees at ARUP are from this school. I called Jordan Valley Hospital and they have 7 out of 10 employees who trained here. Heather the lab director I spoke with told me that she trained here. I checked out their Facebook Page and they make hundreds of announcements of people getting jobs almost daily in Utah. I also asked everywhere I called if I needed the ""CLA"" ... not one of the 10 places I called knew what that was. Just shows the internet is full of people who think they know everything and know nothing. Glad I checked this out ... Karen M. more

Read carefully at the bottom of their website. They are not accredited. You get experience there, sure, but you don't get that one little piece of paper that matters which is a CLA (certified laboratory assistant) which makes you legally certified to be a laboratory assistant, which is a phlebotomist. more

LOVED IT, GOT THE JOB I WANTED 12/10/2010

So, class was good. I am not a good learner, but we went through the book together... that made it so much easier for me. I was able to understand the material. I have to say, the hands on activities were the most helpful by far. Everything was well understood but mostly the hands on activity made me remember what I learned in class. If you want to become a phlebotomist or cna, you would be very happy with Phlebotomy Training Specialists. more

Excellent Utah Phlebotomy Certification Course 12/7/2010

The class instruction was well balanced between book instruction, actual blood draw practices and instructor experiences. Definitely my favorite part was the hands on learning. We did a ton of hands on learning! I loved the course and I am now working as a Phlebotomist. Thanks! more

RIP OFF ARTIST'S AT WORK. DO NOT PROVIDE THE SERVICE THEY ADVERTISE. 8/19/2008

This business preys on young people trying to get a foot in the door of the medical field. Basically they use substandard instructors, shoty teaching methods and waste the time and money of students. Pros: Inexperienced instructors of the course even agreed that the course is substandard Cons: A waste of time and money more
