Great hamster/guinea pig vet! 3/3/2009

I have cared for a number of hamsters, and two guinea pigs, mostly foster/adopt from the animal shelter. When they need care, or end-of-life assistance, I have brought them to the Phinney Ridge Animal Hospital. The staff is kind, smart, and caring. I highly recommend them for your little pets! more

Wonderful Care; Wonderful People; and, Wonderful Location! 7/31/2007

Really? What more could you want? We moved to Seattle and chose Phinney Ridge because of it's easy location to our home. Little did we know that Jessica and the staff would take such great care of our dog and cat. I wouldn't go anywhere else! more

LOVE THEM! 7/23/2007

Our lab is in love with the staff and so are we. They are absolutely the most caring and honest folks we have run into. Our dog has experienced ear issues, giardia, neutering, hernia and growth removal. The doctors handle him so well and make us feel comfortable. Jessica and Jennifer are such dog people and have been an enormous help while I have been pregnant. I would trust them with Malcolm's life! more

Great Care at Phinney Animal Hospital 7/10/2007

Our Lab/Rott mix Blanche was treated for 11 years at Phinney Ridge. She came to us with serious fear/aggression issues and growled at the vet everytime. Dr. Henkle was undaunted and even praised Blanchie for being such a "good communicator". She appreciated our grouchy baby in spite of how nasty and trying she could be! Three months ago we had to put her to sleep which was heartbreaking, as anyone whose been through it knows. Dr. Henkle and all the staff were remarkable. Though I already knew them to be compassionate and competent, it was at this difficult time we realized how much. They were gentle, caring, validating and explained everything clearly. What was not an easy or pleasant experience was made quite beautiful by this wonderful, dedicated staff. We were so grateful for it and would direct anyone seeking veterinary care to them. more

Gentle People at Phinney Ridge Animal Hospital 3/6/2007

When we had to put our cat down the staff and veterinarian there were all so kind to me and even held my hand and everyone hugged me afterward. They helped me through that horrible and heart wrenching time and even sent a card afterwards that everyone in the office signed. more

I love them! 2/25/2007

They know me, my dogs and cat by name. The girls on the phones are always very concerned when I am making an appointment when any of my pets are sick. Everyone in the office comes out to give treats to my dogs tons of treats and love. Both my dogs nearly pull me up the stairs to the office cause they love it there so much. All the vets are also very nice and try their best to make it a good experience for my dogs and scared cat. They have also been great with giving me all sorts of treatment options and have given referrals for specialist when necessary. more

Friendly, Experienced care for your pet! 7/6/2006

I love this vet. My pets and I are always given the best care-- and they're flexible with payment options, scheduling and treatment options. I've always felt that I've been given considerable choice and detailed explanation for any treatment. I've got a tremendous amount of faith in their technicians, staff and doctors. If there is ever a simple question or a request, they're happy to fulfill it. There're are lots of times when I'm not sure if something is "normal" in regards to dog health-- and the staff here is always ready to ease my mind or suggest a quick check to make sure. I get the feeling that the entire staff, vets included, really care about my dog and cat, their well being and happiness. more

Nobody's purr-fect 8/20/2005

Phinney Ridge Animal Hospital is in a bungalow in the heart of the neighborhood. The reason we chose the vet was that it was walking distance to our apartment. We saw vets at the animal hospital for two years for our cat. They did a nice job but we did feel a lot of pressure to not declaw our cat. They made us feel pretty guilty about even considering it. We are still on the fence on whether we should have done it, but we didn't even feel it was an option with this vet. Other than that, it was a nice place to go. The waiting area is a little cramped if a hyper dog runs in while you're at the counter paying with your cat. more

Nice! Another good Seattle Vet 8/19/2005

I can’t believe the great experiences I have had with Seattle vets. The at Phinney were kind, helpful, understanding and very good at what they do. The prices were affordable, and my cat was treated like a king. It was even easy to book an appointment without too much trouble. I love it and recommend to all my friends. more

Great vet, not pushy 8/19/2005

This vet has never pushed me towards services I don't believe in for my cat. I've tried several vets and this is my favorite office, they never make me push me to do expensive diagnostic services. They simply present me with my choices and listen. more

Pleased with expertise 8/19/2005

I brought my year old cat here for a check-up, assuming everything would be just fine. I was sad to learn that he had a heart murmer. However, I was pleased with the expertise of the staff in not only identifying it, but determining what level it was and recommending a cardiac specialist for him to see. The only reason we have not returned to this clinic is because we moved out of Greenwood. more

Great Vet in North End 7/21/2005

Phinney Ridge Animal Hospital is great. The Doctors and support staff are top notch. The Doctors are very friendly and down to earth. They are very compassionate and talk to you directly as a person instead of down to you as some Doctors can be. They genuinely care about your animal as if it was their own. The support staff is also great. They always remember me by name as well as my animals. They are very knowledgeable and helpful with good advice and recommendations based on their extensive experience. When my two cats older cats finally needed to be euthanized, the vet actually came to my house on both occasions so that I didn’t have to put them in the carrier and bring them in and they could die in their home with their family. They were very compassionate and professional during a very troubling time. They even sent us a condolence gift as the doctor felt so much for their long time patient. I’ve referred Pinney Ridge Animal Hospital to many an animal owner without one complaint. If you need a good vet in the north end, Ballard/Greenwood area, you can’t go wrong with them. more
