One of the Twin Cities BEST restaurants 10/25/2005

We went here with our witnesses after my hubby and I were wed at the Stillwater courthouse. I think we made the right decision for a very memorable evening! I had the pork chops and they were to-die-for"", hubby had the filet mignon and was equally impressed. Even though we moved a few hours from the cities we will be going back here for as many anniversaries as possible. great food worth waiting for 6/2/2004

i first heard about this restaurant because--of all things--of the soup they served. it is definitely worth a trip out to phil's just for the vegetabel beef soup on a cold winter's day. if you are a looking for something heartier--the filet mignone is the best i have ever had. tender and beautiful. this is by far one of my favorite restaurants! it does get busy on the weekends--expect to wait a little while. it's definitelyt worth waiting for. Visited the restaurant on Sat 02/08/2003. Excellent! Our group called ahead for a table, but they place was packed, we waited maybe 30 minutes for the table, but it was worth it. Our group had martinis, pork chops, ribs, steak, and gyro. All of which we would order again. The soup was excellent and so was the service! A HUGE HIT!!!! 2/3/2003

We LOVE this place. It's so warm and cozy. The fireplace is great - we absolutely love it. You can't beat the atmosphere. My husband is a HUGE steak fanatic, and he says no steak comes close to Phil's. The service is always great, too - very friendly. We can't get enough of Phil's. Great 12/2/2002

This is one of my wife's and mine favorite resaurants. She was skeptical when I first brought her there but was won over as soon as we entered. You feel like you are in a north woods lodge. Food is great. Phil is always next to the bar talking to customers. Can be very busy and crowded on weekends. Not a lot of room. Back room waitress is a little too frenzied.
