The Arts and Ale Mural Tour was an excellent combination of tasty treats and art that I confess I would never have seen otherwise! Ryan was a highly entertaining host/guide. I've always wanted to take a mural tour, but this just fit my schedule at the last minute and I can't wait to do the next one! There is so much beauty...even in the least lovely parts of town! Trolley tour review 5/12/2011

I took the murals arts tour this weekend and although i admit to being skeptical at first, i was completely won round by the charm of the people and of the tour. The tour is very accessible and I learned an awful lot about the art and the city. The weather was beautiful and i definitely recommend going on a warm spring/summers day to really enjoy the tours to the max. The Mic was faulty but the charisma of the tour guide carried him through the technical difficulties and the narration (and tour in general) was as smooth as can be. 5 out of 5. more

Great place to learn about the effects of artwork in Philly 10/8/2009

I am a student at Drexel University who had the pleasure of embarking on a mural tour last week. My tour was a great experience that taught me about the importance artwork has on Philadelphia's culture. The Mural arts program also had exceptionally gifted tour guides. They were extremely informative and enthusiastic. As we passed historic buildings, the tour guides even gave us history lessons! I highly recommend this tour if you are a person who is looking to explore the art culture in Philly while learning and having fun. Pros: Philadelphia is the Mural Capital of the WORLD! Cons: There aren't any! more

I just enjoyed a Mural Arts tour this weekend and I had such a wonderful time! As a native of Philly, I would recommend this tour to visitors and residents alike. The guide was great and told some very inspirational stories about the development of the neighborhoods and Mural Arts' impact. A must see! Pros: engages the community more

Mural Tours-Hidden Gem of Philadelphia 7/24/2009

The Philadelphia Mural Arts Program is a Non-profit foundation dedicated to making Philadelphia a more beautiful place. It is more than just paint on the wall though. I took a tour in June and saw the beauty of these works of Art up close and personal. The stories accompanied with the murals was truly inspirational. For tourists coming to visit Philadelphia, taking a tour in the ""City of Murals"" is a must and will open your eyes. For those who already live in the city, like me, it makes you appreciate the murals much much more. It was truly an amazing way to see the city, murals and neighborhoods that make Philly so great! Pros: Larger than life works of Art with amazing back stories. more

Mural Tours 4/8/2009

I took a Mural Tour earlier this year with my room mate from school and it was amazing! We got to learn more about the City of Philadelphia's Mural Arts Program as well as see a snippet of the 2,800 murals! The stories behind each mural is unique and interesting. A major highlight was our awesome celebrity tour guide Joe Sixpack! For this special Meals and Murals Beer Week Tour we got to learn about the Mural Arts Program as well as unique beer in Philadelphia. VERY COOL!!! A must do in Philly. Pros: Best Outdoor Art Gallery Cons: none! more
