It could be better.. 4/16/2006

Philadelphia has been massively improving its airport, although I believe they are barely still up to par of even a reasonably sized city, much less one which has one of the larger metropolitan areas in the country. Its improvements and extensions have helped improve its image, but there is still work to be done, particularly in retail. Not my favorite place for a stopover, I would think. more

A decent airport 3/9/2006

Having lived in Delaware for several years, I relied on the Philadelphia International Airport quite a bit. The terminals are large and well-labeled, but walking from one to the next can be troublesome. If you're stuck boarding in an E Gate, you have practically no choice in food. Baggage claim isn't bad, but it takes forever if you're flying Southwest. more

Philadelphia International Airport 2/28/2006

Your experience at the Philadelphia International Airport will really depend on which airline you're using. I have mainly used Southwest Airlines, which has an entire terminal (E). However, the problem with this is that most of the shopping, food, and services are in the shared terminals of A-D. So once you're through security, you're stuck choosing between Burger King or the airport pub. With the arrival of SWA, Philadelphia has been swamped. They could really use some more room for this terminal, or at least the baggage claim. Overall, it's a fast, efficient, and clean airport. I just wish they didn't quarantine the SWA passengers into Terminal E. more

No Worries 2/4/2006

I have had wonderful experiences with this airport. All of my flights took of in time and I was always able to find my luggage. I have been in many airports and sometimes the whole process is overwhelming but I really feel at ease here. You don't have to worry about not being able to find your boarding place because everything is set up so nicely. The only things that could improve the airport are maybe more gift shops and better prices when it comes to food. more

Philadelphia Airport 12/30/2005

If you manage to get through the traffic to get to the Philadelphia International Airport in one piece, you will find an airport where function is premiere. The layout is about function, not so much comfort in the past. Another thing that the airport seems to have a bad rap for is losing luggage. They were undergoing some renovations recently to make it a friendlier airport. more
