I love Pfafftown Animal Hospital! The staff is more than friendly and it's obvious they genuinely care about the animals they treat. I trust Dr. Livengood to make accurate diagnoses, to be conservative with treatment, and to do what's best for my cat. The staff has always been very upfront about how much procedures and visits will cost and the prices seem fair to me. Every time I've called concerned about my cat, they listen to the problem first and determine if I even need to bring my cat in to the office. They are always very fair in this judgment and have never taken advantage of the situation. I am overprotective when it comes to my cat and I call very often when I am concerned about her health. Once, my cat had to stay at the office all day to receive an IV and I was so worried that I must have called ten times that day to check on her. Dr Livengood is not only a very competent and up to date veterinarian,but she is also a very caring person.My dogs love her.She has gone way beyond what most vets would do to help my older dogs enjoy a good life well into their teens,and she has been there for me when I have needed advice and support in dealing with the geriatric dog.She has helped me with proper diet as well as proper medication for my terriers.My puppies also go to Dr Livengood for all their exams and evaluations.She makes sure the pups first visit is a pleasant experience.She is one of the few veterinarians that I have known who is actually willing to take the time to explain things and answer questions.I have had the experience in the past with veterinarians who simply want to hand you some pills and get you and your pet out the door as quickly as possible.This is not the case at Pfafftown Animal Hospital.I find that I get the best care and best value for all my dog's needs at this clinic.I highly recommend this ve more

At first I was very happy with the staff and Dr. Livengood, but now I am considering going elsewhere. I think we have been overcharged numerous times b/c I have started comparing prices with other local vets. Also, one of the staff members has been very unprofessional both over the phone and in person.On two separate occasions I was told that I would receive a call from them and I had to call them back b/c they had forgotten all about my call. These days it's hard to find a Vet and staff that want to take the time to not only visit with me but with my Border Collie and my Himalayan as well. The care and concern for the health of my pets is paramount to me. Dr. Livengood and the staff share that feeling. \r \r My pets are loved and I want to do all I can for them. I have been given great advise and when I have questions, they have been answered to my complete satisfaction. \r \r I have never had to worry about the cost. Our cat's were very well taken care of. We were beyond impressed. We love the new website. It is great being able to log in and make appointments an upload pictures to our pet's account. more

I went to her for a second opinion on my dog's leg. I was told by a vet in Clemmons that my dog had a torn cruciate. Dr. Livengood told me not to tell her what leg it was when we arrived. She gave me an extremely detailed X-ray and explanation as to WHY the first vet was way wrong. She saved my family $3000.00. She diagnosed a broken pinky toe with a simple yet thorough Xray. (The best technology I've ever seen in a vet's office.) The treatment of which is "free" because it heals on it's own! She's so personable. I want to love my vet and not dread going.
