Refuse to admit mistakes 6/8/2007

My wife and I were visiting this area. We ordered takeout from this restaurant and the lady prompted the food will be ready to pickup after 15 minutes. I arrived the restaurant 30 minutes later and the lady told me to wait for the kitchen to pack my food. While I was waiting, I gave her my credit card for payment. This payment process took much longer than it should. While waiting, I looked around the restaurant and saw many empty tables, they shouldn't be busy. (This was on Friday around 8:30PM.) I saw her took my credit card then made a trip to the kitchen. After several minutes, she brought me the receipt for signature. You would expect she will wait a few seconds for me to sign and complete this transaction. No, she purposely went to a table and talked several minutes to customers while I was waiting go give her the signed credit card receipt. When she came back to her counter, I asked if the food was ready. She answered ""No"" with an embarrassed face. Then I waited a few more minutes she finally know the food is ready to bring to me. I was NOT upset because I saw they were AAA Diamond rated and read the newspaper articles on the walls and thought all the waiting is worth for good food.\r \r Brought the food to our hotel room found no folks, no napkins or anything besides the food. I called the lady and she said she thought our hotel provides silverware. (I told her the high-end hotel we were staying.) After back and forth a few minutes she refuse to admit her mistakes.\r \r FOOD ORDERED: 1 appetizer and 2 dinner dishes for over $50.\r RATING (SCALE OF 1 TO 5, 5 IS BEST)\r Food taste: 3 (very salty, was going to give 1, 3 because my food was takeout)\r Food value for price: 2\r Service: 4 (She acted very friendly)\r Ambience: 4 (Cozy family style)\r Recommend to people for good food: NO\r Recommend to people with no standard on food taste: YES (I believe you will receive friendly service in a cozy sitting.)\r OVERALL RATING: Overrated! Pros: Ambience, Parking Cons: Food, Over Priced more

Bland food. Quaint Italian village decor 1/3/2006

Food was bland. The spaghetti-ravioli combo plate was bland & was topped w/a plain tomato sauce that desperately needed seasoning & fresh herbs. The linguini w/clams was boring & clams did not taste fresh. The meatball appetizer was huge and ok. Service was nice. Decor was very quaint and relaxing, like being in an Italian village. But since food is my 1st priority, not ambience, I would not go back again. Pros: Affordable prices Cons: Limited parking, Unimaginative food more

Good Italian, I would recommend 3/31/2003

Overall, the food and ambience was great, but not excellent. The service was outstanding, however. Parking was a little challenging, but probably an indication of popularity. The menu had good variety, which is always important in an Italian restaurant. I had the Veal Pizziaola, which was good, but a little too heavy on the tomato. I would return for additional entrees here, and it is one of the better italian restaurants in the area. more
