Amazing designer jeans, bags and shoes, clothing and accessories. We didn't realize it was a consignment store until the owner explained how it worked. She was very polite and helpful. They don't take just anything, they are extremely picky. That's why it so much fun to shop!! Spent my complete shopping budget for the month, but will be back as soon as possible. Exciting to see so many different items available all in one store. Definitely worth the time. Probably best consignment store I have ever seen.Try it, you will LOVE it. more

I have been doing business both as a customer and a consigner for more than 10 years. I can tell you the owner is not rude she just has a very ""matter of fact"" personality. Not all people are into idle chit chat, she happens to be one of those people. \r \r As far as the merchandise in the shop goes. They carry quality designer clothing and this is because she is very particular about what she is willing to accept in consignment. Pros: Great deals more

I have sold things in consignment many times, so on my first visit to this store I asked some regular questions. Like, do you buy the clothes outright or on account? There was also an older woman there who was asking the proprietor if they buy certain items. She was rude to both of us. She took one look at me and thew first thing that came out of her mouth was we do not accept anything in trash bags. I didn't even have anything with me! Much less anything in a trash bag! She spoke down to the older woman as if her age rendered her feeble minded and handed us brochure's on their policies for taking in items. Evidently answering questions was beneath her. I wouldn't sell her one left shoe. Cons: RUDE! more

I was in the store last week for the first time to place some of my clothes on consignment. The owner and the manager were really helpful because I thought it was like a thrift store but the items they had looked virtually new and they carried so many nice quality items. They had the best selection of high-end denim I've seen for those prices. I definitely think it's worth a trip to check out as much as I can. more

I had read the great reviews and had a lot of clothes to offer Petticoat. There were two people at the front when I came in. When they realized I had clothes to ""sell"" they became very condesending and standoffish.\r \r I apparently had too many clothes and the woman that turned out to be the owner kept telling me to wait ""over there"" while she ""decided"" what she would take. I had no problem with her system, I just didn't know it, as it had been my first time going through it.\r \r I was flabbergasted at the ""I'm doing you such a favor"" condesending attitude. I thought this was a win/win situation? \r \r She was so focused on controlling my actions, when I went to ""browse"" - she asked me again, ""to stand over there"" while they decided. I asked almost jokingly, ""Is it okay for me to shop?"" She continued her rudeness - but answered yes.\r \r I found some fabulous pieces and ended up spending a few hundred there - however, I left feeling so badly about how I was looked down upon and treated so poorly - I made the decision - no bargin or clothes is worth that feeling. \r \r Once I collect my money I will never go back. After I left there I went to Return Engagement on Bolsa (I think) and the women there were amazingly pleasant and welcomed my business - even though I brought in clothes! (I did purchase more from them too.)\r \r I have never taken the time before to write these kind of reviews - however, I have always benefitted from them. This experience effected me so strongly - I just don't want anyone else to be subjected to it. The owner and staff need so lessons on class, ettiquette, and good ol' fashioned kindness before they shandle the public - I don't care how ""greatly rated your place may be."" Learn how to treat people with kindness. more

I went to Petticoat Lane when they were having their ""Best of Orange County"" sale and found many great deals! Seven jeans, Citizens of Humanity, True Religion, etc between $59 and $129! Some of their other items are $2-10! Pros: Great Brands! more

PETTICOAT LANE IS ABSOLUTELY THE BEST CONSIGNMENT SHOP THAT I'VE EVER BEEN TO! TODAY I BOUGHT A PAIR OF SEVEN JEANS, CITIZENS, AND A CUTE TOP FOR LESS THAN THE PRICE I WOULD'VE PAID FOR 1 PAIR OF NAME BRAND JEANS AT THE MALL. IT WAS VERY EASY TO FIND WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR BECAUSE THEY HAVE EVERYTHING ORGANIZED BY SIZE AND COLOR. I WAS SURPRISED THAT IT IS A CONSIGNMENT STORE BECAUSE EVERYTHING LOOKS BRAND NEW. MOST OF THE OTHER CONSIGNMENT STORES I'VE BEEN TO ARE DATED AND DON'T HAVE MUCH TURN AROUND, BUT EVERY TIME I GO TO THIS STORE THEY CONSTANTLY HAVE NEW ITEMS.
