Money hungry - care nothing about your dog!! 11/4/2011

I took my Staffy Bull in that was in labor and had just produced her first pup that got stuck. After doing everything that I could do (had vet tech training), I rushed her there. They looked at her, took their time getting a quote together and then wanted $3500 for a c-section, but told me that the pups were probably dead. When I told him that I couldn't afford that (a normal c-section is $300 during the day) and started looking at the bill - I could knock about $1000 off for care that I was trained to give. He said NO - my clinic my rules. He wouldn't work with me on price or payments or anything. So that left us no choice but to put her down - which he charged $310 for when its normally $75. He didn't even give her valum or anything else to ease her down, he just gave her the shot to stop her heart. She was in so much pain and was looking at me and crying. So because of his lack of caring, I lost a dog and a litter of pups. To add insult to injury, while he was cleaning up, he offered me low cost spay/neuter if I had any dogs I wanted to bring in. The next day when I emailed him about my concerns and view of the procedure - his response was ""we are not a financial institution and don't accept payments, you have to pay whatever we charge, this is an emergency clinic."" I would suggest not EVER taking an animal there for ANYTHING. more

not so AMAZING!! 5/12/2010

I apologize to keishalala\r \r You have all rights to believe what you believe. This hospital definitely was not what I thought it was.\r \r The management is obviously very poorly managed as the workers do not want to help. (Found out that Mrs. Suhad was fired for the 2nd time)\r \r As I walked in, the manager was in a fight with another customer and threatening to sue and telling the customer they were not welcome to the hospital anymore. The doctor comes out not to resolve the situation but to help the manager with getting rid of the customer.\r \r The doctor turns to me and 180s. He smiles big at me and asks how he could help me. As I was about to tell him, he starts talking to the manager and walks off and tells the front counter person to help me.\r \r I later found out from other clinics that this hospital does charge more than usual. For people who want to get their spay/neuters done, you can do it for free through a nonprofit organization. You do not have to pay an absurd $300 for it as it is recommended often from Dr. Innocent mainly because it is the ""easiest surgery that takes less than 10 minutes"" - Dr. Innocent. Pros: amazing staff Cons: nothing! more

I BEG TO DIFFER 8/3/2009

TOOK MY NEW 1.5 POUND POM TO THIS HOSPITAL BECAUSE HE BEGAN SNEEZING MUCUS AND CLEAR FLUID. I WAS FREAKED OUT BECAUSE HE WAS SO SMALL AND DIDNT WANT TO WAIT TIL MORNING TO TAKE HIM TO MY INTENDED VET. WELL,, THE ONLY GOOD PARTS ARE THAT THERE WAS NO WAIT AND THE VET TECH WAS NICE. THE DR (DR. INNOCENT) CAME INTO THE EXAM ROOM AND ASKED WHAT WAS GOING ON. I TOLD HIM. FIRST OFF HE HANDLED MY SMALL DELICATE PUPPY WITH ONE HAND- CARRYING HIM AROUND AS IF HE WERE A BRICK. HE DIDNT HANDLE HIM WITH TWO HANDS AS MOST VETS WOULD DO. SECOND, THERE WAS A CHILD (LITTLE INDIAN GIRL) IN THE EXAM ROOM WITH HIM TRYING TO PLAY WITH MY SICK PUPPY. I HAD TO PULL MY PUP AWAY FROM HER. HE LISTENED TO MY PUPS' HEARTBEAT AND LUNGS AND THEN GAVE HIM A SHOT AND SAID THAT HE HAD AN ALLERGIC REACTION TO A SPRAY. IN THE BEGINNING I ACCEPETED THAT. BUT ONCE I GOT HOME MY PUPPY STARTING PASSING TAPEWORMS IN HIS FECES AND I REALIZED THAT THE DOCTOR HAD DONE NO MICROSCOPIC WORK. NO FECAL SAMPLE. NOT EVEN A MICROSCOPIC EXAMINATION OF MY PUPPY'S MUCUS THAT WAS AROUND HIS NOSE AND MOUTH. HE ONLY LISTENED TO HIS HEART AND LUNGS AND BASED OFF OF WHAT I HAD TOLD HIM GAVE HIM A SHOT. I PAID $150 FOR AN INCOMPLETE EMERGENCY VISIT AND INACCURATE DIAGNOSIS. I HAVE BEEN TO OTHER VETS BEFORE AND ALL OF THEM HAVE TAKEN STOOL AND/OR EAR SAMPLES. I TOOK HIM TO THE INTENDED VET THE NEXT DAY AND SHE TOLD ME THAT HE HAD A SLIGHT COLD AND TAPEWORMS THAT WERE BOTH EASILY CLEARED WITH ANTIBIOTICS- THE TOTAL VISIT INCLUDING MEDS WAS $75. IN ADDITION, BEFORE I WALKED OUT THE DOOR DR. INNOCENT GAVE ME ALL OF HIS PARAPHERNALIA IN HOPES THAT I MIGHT PROMOTE HIM TO MY FRIENDS. LITERALLY! HE LOADED ME DOWN WITH CARDS, MAGNETS, AND FLYERS AND TOLD ME TO PASS THEM OUT FOR HIM! NOT PROFESSIONAL AT ALL! IT IS NOT UP TO YOUR CUSTOMERS TO SELL YOUR BUSINESS..... IT IS SOOOOOOOO VICE VERSA. I WILL NEVER GO BACK. Pros: 24HRS Cons: THE PROFESSIONALISM AND THE COMPASSION more

Animal Hospital that actually smells great 4/20/2006

I live in Atlanta for over 7 years. I have taken my pets to too many animal hospitals over the years. This is the wonderful thing, I arrive at Nortside Animal Hospital the landscape was well manicured. Then when I entered their facility, WOW!!!. The place smelled wonderfull. The atmosphere was great. The staff was great, pleasant, friendly and avery attractive group of people there. You would think I was in medical social event. Not only were they extremely friendly, they were also extremely competant. By the time I saw the doctor, this was the icing on the cake. I am originally from europe. The doctor and I spoke French and he revealed could also speak Spanish. So I referred all my Spanish co-workers, and all my French speaking neighbors. So I highly recommend Northside Animal Hospital in Atlanta to all of you readers. Not all vets are the same. Pros: friendly, Affordable, knowledgeable Cons: none, none, none more

Caring Vet with Excellent Staff 10/26/2005

I have been taking my dogs (and those of my daughter and mother) to Garry Innocent at Northside Animal Hospital since he bought the practice in about 2001. He and his staff have been invariably kind, compassionate caregivers. I have even adopted a rescue dog he had taken in (as he does frequently). My daughter, at college with her dog, can call him with questions and he always takes her call. I recommend him highly. Pros: Caring, Pleasant office, Great staff more
