When I got there they helped me.Awnsered all my questions.They were fantastic! Me I would recommend them to you.they have live animals,like ,fish,turtles,bunnies,chincillas,hand fed birds,and dogs,.they have all the supply you will need to take care of your pet.they have,pond supply,mini reef systems,and dog grooming.I would recommend them to you.Have a very nice day! more

I have to say i have been living in lafayette for 15 yrs every pet i have ever owned i have got from pets unlimited. All of my animals have included birds, cats, exotic turtles, dogs you name it. I am an animal lover i have had no problems with any of the animals i have bought. I have to say the sales people do an excellent job of informing u on how to raise the animals. My only complaint about my experience with this buissness is i find the owner can be a little dry since of humored an sometimes acts like hes just there to sell an that is it. But anytime i do have problems they are resolved asap. I hope this helps future pet owners who wanna shop there. more

Well I was in lafayette for the day and decided to stop into the pet store to see what all they had. There was a female working behind the counter who was extremely helpful and knew what she was talking about. I think she should become the manager. Then there was a guy holding a bird who worked there and "wasn't" helpful at all !!!! I wasn't bothered by him though. I ended up purchasing a ball python and when I returned home in lake charles the snake died three days later. I called the store and spoke with Charles the owner and he told me to freeze the snake and bring it back to him and he would give me a new one. I haven't bought many pets in the past but I thought it was noble of him to return it for me. Considering I did purchase over 1100.00 worth of aquariums and tanks and food that day. All in all I think this is a great store. I just wish they had more selection of exotic animals.\r Charles has a great store, keep up the good work!!!! more

From the very moment I went into the store they took care of me and answered all of my questions. They were very knowledgeable about most everything I needed to know about fresh water aquariums. If they didn't know the answer they tried to find it for me. Even when they were busy, which was quite often, they made sure that I was taken care of. I would recommend them to anyone. more

I called them twice but the call is not clear at all , person in that store who picked up my phone just hang up my phone ,when i called them 2rd and 3rd,he picked up the phone and keep quiet! Can not believe it!\r SUCH A BAD IMPRESSION! more

The idea of not being able to return a sick pet is horrible to me and also they keep very tiny cages filled with pregnant rats and mice on wood shavings which are bad for the animals respiratory system. They are friendly people but they need to make a few changes. more

Pets Unlimited is indeed the best pet store I have ever visited. Right as you walk in the door, there are employees there to greet you and assist you with any help you may need. ALL of the animals are very well taken care of. They always have fresh food and water at all times and their "living enviornments" are always clean and presentable. I strongly disagree with the review about the owner being rude and unreasonable to any of his customer...I do believe that its unreasonable to think that you should be able to return an animal! Its not a shirt or a pair of shoes...its a living thing! I've been in that store MANY times and the owner, Charles, along with the manager, Ed are very helpful people and are very loyal, hard working men. I will continue to shop at Pets Unlimited and it will continue to be my "one stop pet shop." more

Pets unlimited has been extremely helpful to my family as we ventured into the fascinating world of saltwater reef keeping. The managers, Charles and Ed always take the time to answer my questions, and truly know what they are talking about. Their advice saved my puffer fish from certain death..The store is clean and animals are well cared for. We will always be loyal customers to this store and recommend them to everyone looking for a store that actually cares about you and your pets. more

I was looking for local saltwater reef specialist and found these guys by a local referral. A guy by the name of Charles came out the same day to look at my tanks. It was a pleasure to finally meet someone who knew what they were talking about. He found several issues that the previous people I had servicing my tanks had missed, including major components of my filter system. Looking forward to working with these guys. Nice job! more

There was a man, i believe the manager, and he was the rudest man i ever met in my life. He sold me a sick animal, and when i brought it the next day to return, he told me that they only refund dry food...remember that, because there is no sign. Also, the receipt is misleading by saying you can make returns within ten days with the receipt, which i had, but i was denied. He also said, if he took it back, and gave me eighty percent *upon sale, not even on the return, that it was a "favor". I'm strongly considering small claims court. He also rudely mocked me the whole time. \r \r Another complaint i had, when i went before, there was a small ten gallon tank in the back, with around thirty to forty mice...that is a cruel way to keep them. Just because they are feeder mice, doesn't mean you have to treat them that way. they are kept in a small back almost closet. The chinchillas had nowhere to hop in their cage, and the ferret cage was also small.\r \r I think this is a terrible store more

This is one of the best, cleanist pet stores I have been too. The animals seem to be taken very good care off and they carry a variety of reptiles and hard to find small mammals like hedgehogs and fruit bats. They birds are carefully monitered in open containers to help you observe how they will interact with you. They also carry supplies such as food, toys, collars and shampoo to keep your pet happy. more
