Initially, this place was fine until i met the owner. Holly cow, you would have to search far and wide to find a more arrogant, rude, animal hater. Not me, no thanks, I wouldn't trust him with my garbage much less my dog. Its like he has the worst PMS eeeevvvveeerrr!!!!!! Pros: PARKING Cons: rude owner more

This place is incredible. I have tried the 3 other daycares in the area, I must say this one wins hands down compared to each of them. I was so content and relieved to be able to take the tour of the entire facility, and can do so whenever I please. The 13 web cams is an excellent idea, not only does this say they have nothing to hide, but it is comforting to see my babies whenever I want to see them wherever they happen to be in the facility. The first day I brought them to Pets Playhouse on Ponce I watched the cameras all day with an eagle eye, I was pleasantly surprised they actually interact with the dogs; they play fetch, soccer, and give them lots of love. Here it is all about the dogs, the outside wood chips are a big plus not only is it familiar to my dogs because most all dog parks have them but it is much better on their paws. It is a more natural environment with trees and shade. Every time we drive up they are excited to go in (nothing I experienced with any other daycare in the area) I watch the cams and see my dogs all being active and smiling! I was so pleased with them I baked a batch of cookies for the staff their first day at daycare! They are great! In my opinion they meet and exceed my expectations Pros: Clean, friendly, interacts with the pups. Cons: None that I have found yet! more

Went into this new dog daycare to check it out, was okay. Looked very home made and kinda reminded me of my grandmothers house. For $12.00 a day I will give them a try, I always like a bargin. I guess they are going to be the the Wal-Mutt of Decatur! : ) My only concern is why would they have furniture that the dogs can spread there joy on in there big room? Could not be healthy! Firstly, for the 1-star reviewers, I know who you are and it's called ""the competition!!! I've seen the good, the bad & the really ugly of the dog daycare world, and I am here, as are my friends, to tell you that this is the BEST, FRIENDLIEST, DOG LOVIN', EXPERIENCED daycare/boarding facility in this city......bar none!!!Not only do they have REAL wood chips, trees, sunny/shady areas, with high, checked EVERY DAY for ""escape routes"" fencing, and LARGE yards for the dogs to run a long way from one end to the other, but their workers who stay with them actually PLAY, yes I said PLAY, with them....they don't just ""walk around on their cellphones (as one daycare in particular I could, but won't, name). These are people who really LOVE dogs, they don't just take them in and then ""crate"" them for half the day and call that doggie daycare! My little girl is an early ""senior"" & I can't tell you how blessed I feel to know her few years left will be filled with fun every day she is at Pets Playhouse..(3 days a week)! Everything is state of the art inside & is the cleanest, no smell facility I've ever seen. Also, for the reviewer that mentioned the antiques.......I don't believe you would know one if you saw one. more

When I first saw them I decided to check them out. They were more than happy to give me a complete tour including the kennel boarding areas. I was a little hesitant at first because they did not have any cameras and I like to watch my dogs. After three visits I notice a big change in them. They?d come home at night and be dead tired. When I?d drop them off, they?d head to the back play area without a second thought, so much for saying good-bye to Dad. When I came to pick them up they were happy to see me, but then would want to head back to the play area instead of going home. Even better news is when I took one of my dogs to Church Street Animal Hospital and weighed her in; she finally lost all the extra weight Dr Fordyce had been after me to get her to lose. I?m really happy that they finally installed cameras so I can watch them whenever I want. If I don?t see them, I call and they make sure I can watch them. I also like the fact that I can stop by anytime and inspect the place and my dogs without restriction. I?m happy and my dogs are happy. The only downside is when they don?t go for a few days; they have way too much energy. But a visit to the playhouse takes care of that! more

I had a great experience here They let me take a tour in person with my dogs after I had checked them out online. I am so busy and needed to find a place where I wouldn't feel guilty to drop off my dogs. I have a poodle and a water spaniel that are used to high end boarding and being spoiled. I saw a billboard for this ""new doggie daycare"" in Decatur and thought I would try it as it was much cheaper than the ones I presently use in Decatur. What a mistake, I should have known better after they let me see the facility and there was no one working except someone grooming dogs and the person in the front lobby.
