Pet's Friend Animal Clinic

I've had many vets, and many good ones among them. Dr. Miller is the best yet. I recently had to say goodbye to my Great Dane, Payce, at age 13 years. And while he slowed in his later years, all but the last few months were good. The excellent care provided by Dr. Miller and the staff at Pet's Friend, incl. the times I boarded Payce with them, no doubt contributed to his long and good life. It was no easy decision or task to say goodbye to this loyal friend, but everyone at Pet's Friend made it as good as possible. I recommend Pet's Friend, and esp. My cat has never been so traumatized. These people do not care about your pet. They care about your pocketbook. I brought my cat in for an exam when he was a new kitten, and they told me he was a girl after inspecting him. They wanted to spay him, and I made an appt. After bringing him home, we discover he was a boy, and canceled the spaying - taking him elsewhere to be neutered. Real pros, right? Unfortunately, I forgot this was the same place when researching kennels/pet motels last week, and just picked him up from a weekend long kennel stay. He had lost weight over the weekend, is not himself at all, and was apparently kept in a cold room (below 58 degrees when I came in at noon, though I was promised it was regulated at 75 degrees) and only allowed to stay in half of his cage, even though I came in to inspect the facility in advance, and chose them based on the size of the cage being slightly larger than the competition. When I dropped him off, I instructed them to let him out of his cage to play as much as possible because he atrophied after his last short kennel stay at a different kennel, and instead, they kept him confined in half the space I rented for him, and didn't allow him access to his food dish. They did not feed him the treats I brought, and did not follow my feeding instructions. When I brought him home, he was starving. He ran straight to his food dish, and when I filled it, he ate the whole thing in one shot - an absolute first! He is still recovering from his visit. I hope he will be back to his usual adorable self soon. My poor baby!! Avoid this clinic if you love your pet! more

The medical care provided by Dr. William Kennedy was exceptional, personal, and incomparable. He has since left Pet's Friend. I've not been as impressed with the expertise, knowledge, or medical care given by Dr. Julie Miller (et al.) but remained a client for a few years due to the convenient location and great assistance by Marlene (since 2002) and the good, but "revolving" vet techs. The hours were also convenient. I did not use the kennel services, however, and therefore cannot rate. I've located another vet/hospital that better suits my criteria and provides the outstanding care my animal companions deserve. I will not be a returning client to Pet's Friend Animal Clinic, nor recommend it to anyone. more

I have been taking my elderly cat to Dr. Miller for years now and she is always helpful and sweet. The office is a nice environment. I don't think they are the cheapest around but, I like the care they have given my cat (she is 19 and still ticking). more

I was looking for a new vet when I came down to this area and found this clinic. I must say they have been some of the best doctors and I really felt like they listened and really wanted to help me and my cat. they did tests and tried their best to help us out, even though in the end it was some homeopathic medicine that helped my cat. I will keep them as my vet for my cat if I ever need to bring her anywhere again more

the vets at pets friend are ALL great, they are extremely thorough, and every time I call for any question (which is a lot) they always call me back that day. they do a lot of exams, though, and that kind of stinks. but my cat seems to be in great care when we go in to see them. they all seem to be huge animal lovers! more
