Petrillo's Italian Kitchen

I am amazed every time I eat at Petrillo's. Every meal is just so delicious we talk about it for days.\r The decor is lovely, with lots of charm. The waitstaff are all friendly, and it is not a long wait for service. From the bread to dessert, you will want to eat there everyday. The menu in addition to Italian, has steak, chicken, veal, seafood and wonderful specials. I had a special of the Chilean Seabass with a lemon and lime sauce and could not believe it. Cooked to perfection, delicious taste, and the food is always fresh and prepared artfully. This is a restaurant you are welcome in wether it is a special occasion, or just want to dress casual. What makes this restaurant one of the best is the staff. You will see the owners working hard wether in the kitchen, or coming to a table and asking about the food. They are successful because they really care about menu choices, and about the food and service. They are way above standard, and you can tell this restaurant is their heart and soul. When you enter, you know just be looking around. In a nutshell, Lots of meal choices, great specials, good size portions, great service. Honestly,\r if you have not tried it, this is a must. I have been living in Peabody for over 8 years and my husband and I found this restaurant about 1 year ago. It is so delicious. I have now recommended it to everyone I know. The homemade pasta is to die. Everything can be made to order and the sauce is amazing. It is fairly inexpensive and has a nice friendly atmosphere- every seems to know each other there. The owners have come around on several occasions and talked with us to see how our meals were and just to hear our praises. It always fun to find a great new restaurant so close to home. I have been living two streets away from this place for about two years now and it is without a doubt my favorite place for Italian. The veal is always prepared perfectly, whether with a red sauce or a marsala that is to die for. The hard to find Broccoli Rabe appetizer is a delight for the taste buds. Just like my mom used to make. If you like seafood, the Fruitti Di Mare is always a great choice, with tender clams, mouth watering calamari and shrimp and mussels that melt in your mouth. Don't forget dessert!!! The tiramisu is a perfectly sized portion for two to share or one to pig out on. Petrillo's combines a personal feel with the authenticism of old world Italy. I love this place. The food is the real deal, simple home cooked food with a twist. I have in on three different occassions and have been delighted each time. We love the artichokes stuffed with goat cheese, and the lobster ravioli is excellent. Very affordable too! more
