We love the food, it's fast, fresh and the fish tacos rock! It's gotten spicier the past couple times, so I will start getting sauces on the side since I am a bit wimmpy! Love the hibiscus tea and margaritas more

My husband and I are extremely picky foodies who hate large chains... this is hands down our favorite place in McKinney (unfortunately McKinney is very short on great eateries). I'd say this is tex mex with a little fresh island flair. Our favorite go-to dishes are the Tacos al Pastor (pork) and Chicken Los Cabos. We are able to split the 3 taco plate or the los cabos, and I'd consider us pretty big eaters. We occasionally add an extra side of rice or the chori-queso, if we are really hungry. Tex-mex check list: chips - good; salsas - excellent; margaritas and sangria - wonderful; food - consistently great! Pros: Fresh, extremely tasty, fast Cons: Churros aren't that great more

My family and I love this place. The food is always fresh and we never leave hungry. I also a fan of the two salsa options when they bring chips to your table. Each taco includes 2 tortias so you can double your taco count! Ifd you have room, order the churros. Oh dear, sweet, Lord they are awesome. They come w/ a killer dipping sauce. Self serve soda too, which is a plus. The decor isn't fancy or impressive. The focus is on the food, where it should be! Pros: Love the options more

I love Mexican food, authentic Mexican food, as my friends and waistline will attest. So when I say Petra is some of the best Mexican food that I've ever eaten, it means a lot. I am very picky about my Mexican food, and Petra fits the bill wonderfully. What I love is the fact that it's just like the food I've had when I visit California or Arizona. When you walk in you feel the friendly atmosphere, see the warm yellow walls, hear the music and think ""ahhh."" Try the fish tacos, which you can get fried (yum) or grilled, or if your looking for something even more healthy, go for the Chicken Los Cabos or any of the 3 salads. (The shrimp salad hits the spot!) Also, the margarita's are amazing. I was offered a Classic, (on the rocks or frozen), or the Petra's margarita, which can be swirled with a choice of flavors.
