Petland

This store is no longer "Petland". It seems its changing management, so maybe the store will start doing better. Only time will tell. I have seen more fish in the store aswell, looks like they are trying to improve. Good place to find used fish tank set ups. Fair prices, a lot cheaper than Pets Plus. more

The store is small, dingy and worn out looking. The animals don't look well cared for and the place is a sauna in the summer. The fish tanks half of which are empty are incredibly dirty and hard to see through the glass on most. The products in general are overpriced and the stock is very old some brands they sell are no longer around or have changed names,etc. The employees seemed to like spending more time on the phone or casually chatting with each than paying attention to customers. Many of the products have no price on them and finding out the price is a guessing game I've even been told they don't know the price until the manager comes back to the store. A shame because what an independent non chain pet store could be and what this one has become are entirely polar opposites. more

There are some definite good things here. They have alot of good supplies that you might not find at places like petco. They also have a nice selection of birds and fish, the fish, including their betas, are quite beautiful and not too expensive. I have had trouble however with their small animals. I purchased a rabbit here, and purchased another from a reputable breeder in New Hampshire. The rabbit I purchased from this store died within two weeks. Yes, I did take it to the vets at the first sign of trouble, and was maticulous with my care. I also have a friend who bought a rabbit here as well and lost it after two months, so I would suggest perhaps considering another location for small animals. more
