Peter's Township library was recently renovated. It is an awesome library.
The Peters Township Public Library, founded in 1957, completed construction on a new, 23,000 sq. ft. facility in 1999. The library now features the following :
A 1,700 sq. ft. Community Room with moveable partitions
Five study rooms on the upper level
A Peters Township History Center
Easy access for the disabled
An enhanced area to accommodate children's books and children's programs
A computer lab with electronic resources for Internet access, business, education and other on-line information systems
An expanded area housing magazines, newspapers and new periodicals
A comfortable lecture/meeting room with a fireplace and piano
We love the children's programs:
Children's programs, including Story Time for pre-schoolers (ages 3½-5), toddlers (ages 2½-3), and babies (ages 9-24 months) throughout the year, Red Cross babysitting courses, special programs for kindergarteners and youngsters in grades 1-3, and a summer reading program (grades K-5) with field trips, movies, stories, songs, and other activities
