We were completing the removation of a bathroom and had to install a heated towel warmer. We called peter needham electric for a quote to hang and connect the towel warmer (the electrical wiring form the panel to the warmer position had been completed during renovation). So simply hang it and connect the wires - right? Well not too fast , the guy who arrived took nearly an hour to measure and discuss the job with his dispatcher. I knew I was being worked over but thought to let them do their thing and if it's not too bad I will just pay it and at least get it done right away. He went on to tell me what a difficult job it would be and it could take a day and half and that he would need a second guy. Finally after a further twenty minutes of him sitting in his van he gave me the quote which was $1,900 or get this $1,750 if we signed up to a maintenance agreement with them - not sure what sense that made, it's cheaper WITH the maintenance plan? I couldn't believe it, now remember the warmer is sitting in the bathroom leaning unpacked up against the wall, the wire has already been brought to that point from the panel, all we wanted was for them to hang it and connect the wires. Next day I called an electrician from the yellow pages, a local guy who came over and completed the work in 30 minutes for $300 which included a $50 tip!
