Peter B's Automotive

I've had repeated problems at Peter B.'s. Frankly, I'm surprised that he's still in business. I think it is ok as long as everything goes fine. But - if one of the employees screws up and your car is not fixed, or is made worse due to their error, Peter does NOT look out for you at all. He takes your money and too bad that they either didn't fix or ruined your car. I honestly don't know how he can treat people with so little respect. Again, it is hit or miss there, probably depends on who works on your car. Problem is when something doesn't go right. Peter doesn't care. more

I have had work done there many times. It used to be my "go to" place. But more recently I started having 100% bad experiences. They didn't fix the problems, yet they charged an exorbitant amount. I thought that might be a one time thing, so I kept going there, but each time I came away feeling ripped off. So I finally have stopped going there. I have also heard other people speak of feeling ripped off there, too. I have talked with Peter and he even agreed with me that I was overcharged and the work wasn't quality, but his response was "That's how business works." I told him I would not be returning anymore and he just sneered and said he has so much business that he can afford to lose customers who are unhappy. That can't last forever. We'll see when this finally catches up with him. more

I have been going to Peter B's for a few years for regular oil changes to other automotive needs, and have found that their work is very good. I feel that they are one of the best in town-- they might be slightly more expensive, but their work has been flawless for me. My husband who used to work on this car all the time now takes his car to Peter B's as well after seeing the work done on my car. It's very good-- recommended! more

I used to have good luck with Peter B's. Maybe it is the luck of the draw on who works on your car, but the past several times I have been very unhappy with the work done on my car. It has been enough bad times in a row that I will not go there anymore. Peter B., I am afraid to say, in my opinion, he is one of the problem ones. He has been very very dishonest with me and he refuses to make things right when they were done wrong. more

I like using Peter B's because they appear to me to be very competent, thorough, friendly, and honest. There is a premium with this in that it is more expensive than some, but to me it is worth it. I've been quite happy with them for years. more

A couple of years ago we went there to fix our car. Although it was quite expensive, still there were many people willing to be in the waiting list. We were waiting for several days and their service was great. They kept me aware what was wrong and how much to fix it. My car has been working well after that. more

It was a good auto center. Then when my friend went there four years ago, their attitude was not that good. Nor the price. So when it is my turn to find a auto center, I go to Diamond instead. Diamond has won best of champaign for several years and I still recommand that place. As for this one, I never find anything good about it, except the fact that it won best of champaign many years ago. more
