Worst experience ever. Asked to see a kitten and was discriminated by the woman taking applications. She should be fired. Will not do anymore business with Petco.

Sol or Saul, is the best for little dogs! They treat your dog with care and do a wonderful job at a reasonable price. Domingo is good too, but we've mostly been using Sol/Saul for our little dog. The staff is friendlier than in previous years. I believe the management changed. A+! more

Petco Totowa, is the best!! 6/26/2009

There is a Kim w. writ ting about her experience at Petco THINKING she was discriminated against. She was NOT!!! All we asked is where she lived because the kitten she was interested still needed to be altered. We DO NOT send out OUR animals that we care for so deeply without being absolutely sure they will be altered and cared for and hopefully for the rest of their lives. We ask questions only because we have seen it all in our 18 years of existence. She should have answered the question and filled out the application to adopt, yes we have an application, and one of the adoption leaders would have discussed the process. Maybe than she would have had a better experience. Sorry she did not give us a chance!!!! The group is the best and the store is also one of the finest we have ever worked with. more

They are the worst 4/26/2009

My wife took our dog (a border collie/Shepard mix) in for a haircut, to have his nails clipped, and a shampoo. The result is a pathetic. I don't know what qualifies a person to be a "groomer" at Pet-co but it is CLEARLY not a whole lot. My dog looks like a cancer patient. You do not groom a large dog the same way you groom a small dog; my dog looks like a rat. Never bring your dog there, they have no idea what they are doing. Not only does he look stupid but he his fur is completely uneven and shaved down to he skin in patches. If I ever see the person who did this to my dog I am going to hold them down and shave their head. more

Petco @ Totowa 4/17/2005

They recently had a total loss due to a ruptured gas line. Many people were hurt and other petcos took in the misplaced small animals. They are rebuilding with state of the art equipment. They will also have a grand reopening with fantastic doorbuster sales. Keep your eyes peeled for their sunday inserts to be first in line for the sales since they will be first come, first serve w/no rainchecks on the grand opening sales. :) PROS: New Building CONS: Not open as of yet. more
